I'm sorry but bye-bye to Real Madrid.
It wasn't much of a suprise because i just knew bayern munich will do much better in the 2nd. leg in Munich & they did
Bayern was a better team through out the game both in defence & attacking. Real didn't stand much of a chance!! Without the consolation penalty it could have been 2:0 for bayern. It was thoroughly entertaining match except for van bommel & diarra getting sent off the field. Both of them totally deserved it tho!! Excellent play for bayern :)

Bad time, bad place for thread mate. First i don't find it right in any way to go after good match and on defeated teams board post about how bad they were. The final result was 4:4. It's a tie, you advanced by away goals. That's what it is. I congratulate Bayern but i wish to see more respect for your opponent more in the future.

If it wasn't for that terrible mistake at the beginning of the match, we'd be saying.. Good Bye Bayern. I think Real outclassed Bayern in the game, seeing as how Bayern only tried to score from counter attacks (in their home ground!).

I guess it just wasn't meant to be.. Oh well, we still have the most champions league trophies in Europe. :D

"Real outclassed Bayern? Did you watch an other game? Without Casillas Real had lost the game with more than 1 goal different.
I am sorry in the second leg Bayern was the better team. Period.
It was a good fight and the best Bayern performance in a long time. but I cant understand Capello when he said that "Bayern's victory was not deserved, because Oliver Kahn had to keep out more chances than Iker Casillas" What the??? Just watch the stats and you see that he is wrong:

Bayern -------------- Real
8----- Shots on goal--- 4
6----- Shots wide------ 6
7----- Corners--------- 4

Better luck next year Real.

I say a team is outclassed when all they're doing is defending and than trying to score on counter attacks in their home ground, all I could hear was Bayern fans whistling.

Statistics never tell the whole story. 80 percent of those shots were from counter attacks, is that how you play on your home ground? If it is, you guys are in serious trouble. You're lucky you cought Real with one of their worst teams ever.

I mean, what the hell was Capello doing? Waiting so long to put little Robinho in the game... I think that choice alone killed Reals chances of advancing. It wasn't that Bayern played well, it was just that Real, without Robinho, had nobody creating that spark to score a goal.

Anyway, this is a pointless discussion. I'm just a little sad that Real didn't advance.. It just doesn't feel like Champions League without them. :(

Did you watch an other game? Watch a highlight video at youtube (for example)
And than you will see that Bayern wasnt only defending, in fact the first half was dominated by Bayern (i guess because of the fast goal real needed time to recover) but I can remember of any good Chance for Real. And you know when you want to defend the other team has to attack ;)

Do you know that Bayern has nearly the same problems like Real? (losing Ballack, ZeRoberto and Deisler in 1 year) And we dont have a Robinho, but the reason why we won is that we have more teamspirit.
Real needs a new team and a new coach. I am sure: Soon, Real will be back again.

I am sorry for you, and I hope Real will use this lose to rebuild there team.
But we deserved this win, we where the better team. period.
Come on, as a Bayern fan I dont have that much to celebrate, all I wanna hear is "Congrats Bayern you were better then real ;) "

P.S.
Keep you head up, soon your Real will be there where they belong to.
And I hope we meet again in the next years CL. And I am sure Real will do better this time. But beware Bayern will also do better

No, I watched it live man. I don't watch highlights as they usually portrey a different picture, because Real was playing, and Bayern was counter attacking. The chances are that they will probably show in highlights were from those counter attacks.

Team spirit is one of the most important thing in football, if you don't have that you got nothing. That's Reals problem, they got all the right ingridients except for the willingness to play while Bayern seems to not have that problem. You just lost a few players, big deal.

Really dude, I agree with the rest here, what game did you watch???!!! Bayern was by far the better team. Or why do you think thousans of fans at the uefa.com site voted for Casillas as the Man of the Match despite the loss.

Sore loser!!!!! Try to post better stuff next time "senior mod".

I can't stand ppl who can not just accept a loss and congrat the real winner.

Casillas was the Man of the Match because he dealt with so many counter-attacks. Real was better because they were on top of the game while Bayern was only looking for breaks on counter-attacks. Except for those little breaks they had, they weren't in the field. That's not how you suppose to play on your home ground, you're suppose to have a big presence with a crowd like that.
