Why some web pages said that Tomislav Piplica is a Croatian?
Now, I can see his name in the squad of Bosia-Herzegovina.
Please help me! Thanks!

Since I am from Asia and I am not very familiar with the relationship between Croatia and Bosnia, can anyone tell me?
I want to know if there is common for a player who have dual nationality and then choose Bosnia over Croatia or vice versa.

Well Bosnia, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Slovenia and Macedonia are all sort of connected together (we all used to be one country, Former Yugoslavia). Now we are all independent nations.
And yes Croats are allowed to play in our league, and on our national Team, but many Croats consider themselves Bosnian's.
but all these countires are connected in a way.
but Yugoslavs are not allowed to play in the Bosnian league.

It doesn't really matter because once you play for one country, FIFA doesn't let you play for another.

:but many Croats consider themselves Bosnian's"
Who??? No Croat considers himself Bosnian like no Bosnian considers himself Croat or Serb
Give your head a shake. THIs Piplica obviously felt he could never make the Vatreni so he decided to play for Bosnia.
MArio Stanic-a Croat-felt he could play and helped us to 3rd place. He is CROATIAN from this takozvani Bosna.
Can I become the moderator of this forum, so I can edit zvonimir's posts here too? :smoking:  :rolling:

"but Yugoslavs are not allowed to play in the Bosnian league."
What a shame ... since every Yugoslav is dying to play in the Bosnian Leauge :)

So I think that Piplica should be an original Croatian and now choose to be a Bosnia player, so that he can play in the national team. Am I right?

At preseason photographing (when Piplica didnt play for Bosnia yet) he was shoted toghether with Antun Labak as Croatians in Cottbus, and also with Bruno Akrapovic as Bosnians in a club!!
but Bruno Akrapovic is also some kind of Croatian (he is not a Muslim). But he count himself as a Bosnian.
The problem is that in Bosnia there are 3 nations: Serbs, Croats and Muslims.
For me all people from Bosnia are Bosnians, but people whose religion is ortodox or catolics want to be Croats or Serbs, and they want Bosnia to become a part of "their" countries Serbia or Croatia. We can say that they hate their own country Bosnia!!!Thats why the war started. I hate this stuff. Bosnia must be united!! For me there is only one nationality in Bosnia, Bosnians!
and please:
try to post a "peaceful" posts
I hope I didnt start arguing
If that will happen I will close this topic, Ok?
thanks guys
Sergio, you think we can hold a civilized politican conversation on the 'away from soccer' thread? I'm interested in asking you a few questions relating to your above post but i don't want to do it here.
If not, no harm done ;)
