But this doesn't make ALL Muslims extremists! You're always going to get a few trouble makers just as you get troublemakers at football matches ... that doesn't make ALL football fans Thugs!

I've never said there aren't troublemakers and extremists are trouble but you seem to tar everyone with the same brush! The whole Muslim world isn't a world of extremists! I'd happily do away with all religion tomorrow. It would make for a better world but that's not going to happen!

This is why muslims are always fighting even with eachother. These hate clerics should be rooted out and punished for brainwashing in the name of Islam. They are the ones who incite suicide bombers to commit their atrocious acts. What I don't understand is why so many listen to them. I can honestly say that no matter what I would not blow myself up for any cause. So why do they do it?

Is that why you stay away from London? Because it has become such a multicultural hub like so many other cities around the world? I know that it must kill you that it can represnt "The great British Empire" as you perceive it in your mind! You have serious issues. And only someone with such a great inferiority complex like yours could be explained by the hatefull words that come out of your mouth about other races and ethnicities. You have nothing to grasp onto. You have probably been rejected by everything and everyone in your life. So you withdraw into your world of Pseudo superiority as an attempt to grasp something to belong to. I feel so sorry for you!!!!!!

Why don't you ask a boy who lost his family ?

Why don't you ask a boy who have to claim the wall in his hometown in Palestine to go to school, or insted drive 20-30 kilometars to go around that wall to school.

Why dont you ask those who live without water, electricity those who have nothing to LIVE FOR !

I have posted many a time here and on other forums about a seeming lack of responsibility exercised by some muslims about what goes on in some mosques in England.

Interestingly the article mentions this. For those that didn't read all, this part came later.

Dr Mohammad Khalid, the president of the mosque, said the speakers were not regular members and had hired a hall attached to the mosque for their meetings. "The people who issued these remarks do not belong to this area or our mosque. They are outsiders. They hired the hall, they paid the charges and used it for their own purposes. But we came to know about the statements and we stopped them. They won't ever be here in future. On behalf of Sparkbrook mosque and Islamic centre we condemn and reject this type of extremism."

Sounds quite reasonable.

The media doesn't help in the way it reports things. We only ever see the extremist side on the news you rarely see moderate muslims condemning these actions and the majority of muslims would condemn such acts but people's views are effected by what they see in the media.

I don't see the point in this thread. Despite it being interesting to see diverse views it's just going to end up with certain people abusing each other verbally.

Yes, that's a possibility. However, it's worth noting the thread began by referring us to an article on some muslims and their outrageous and disrespectful behaviour. Upon reading it fully you see that other muslims are also condemning the behaviour too, just like dupont did.

And very differently from US, Russia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, Portugal, etc, etc, never tyrannized with their 'commonwealths', 'iron curtain' and 'big stick' policies other peoples, countries and societies...

So, when their former slaves (that they themselves brought into home) reclaim their recently conquered civil rights, sometimes in a justifiably violent way, they, the former colonizers, now in their majority deprived of their old empires, complain they are losing their rights 'within their own boundaries' (the infamous right of torturing, discriminating, humbling and enslaving people whose only 'right' before was shining their shoes)...

Well here is something else about UK:D

Big Brother race row galvanises India

By Monica Chadha
BBC News, Mumbai

Shilpa Shetty may benefit from the row, say critics

The alleged racism experienced by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty on the Big Brother reality TV show in the UK has not gone unnoticed in India.

The issue has attracted considerable press coverage and comment, even though the programme is not shown in India.

The country's two leading papers gave the story front-page coverage.

News channels also showed clips of the allegedly racist remarks made against the actress by other celebrity housemates appearing in the show.

They referred to her as "the Indian", made fun of her accent and accused her of wanting to be more light-skinned.

One inhabitant of the Big Brother house said that Indians were so thin because they ate undercooked food, which made them ill.

The comments provoked a small protest in the northern town of Patna and prompted the country's junior foreign minister to comment on the issue.

"Surely such racist slurs have no place in civilised society?" Anand Sharma asked.

The harsh truth is that this sort of thing does happen elsewhere
Rohan Sippy
Indian film director

"India has throughout firmly rejected all forms of discrimination and racism.''

In contrast, the reaction from the Indian film industry has been lukewarm.

Here the underlying sentiment seems to be that racism exists everywhere, and this particular incident is just a reflection of that.

"It is an extremely unfortunate incident to have happened," film director Rohan Sippy said.

"But the harsh truth is that this sort of thing does happen elsewhere. For instance, ex-Seinfeld actor Michael Richards was in the news last year for his racial outburst during a show in the United States. So it is all around," he said.

'Obscene money'

Film actor Anupam Kher said that, as an Indian, he was "disgusted" by what has happened.

"It is like we're going back 100 years. I think that if you want to get back at someone, then you should use your skill in your language and not racial slurs," he said.

It will certainly give a fillip to her career that is not doing too well at the moment
Mayank Shekhar
Indian film critic

Shilpa Shetty is a popular actress in Bollywood who has had a couple of hits such as Dus (Ten), but her most acclaimed performance has been in the film that was inspired by Hollywood hit Philadelphia and in which she played someone with HIV.

Film-maker Prahlad Kakkar, who has worked with top Bollywood stars and various other celebrities, said that people in the Big Brother show got "down and dirty and used everything at their disposal to gain an advantage over others".

He said that she was paid "obscene amounts of money" to participate in the show and must have known what she was getting into when she agreed to appear.

"I think we are over-reacting to this whole racism issue. It is everywhere and this is a competitive show and has a format where everyone says anything about everyone else," Mr Kakkar said.

Film critic and columnist, Mayank Shekhar said that the incident showed the "underbelly of racism" that still exists in Europe and North America.

Jade Goody, a late arrival in the house, repeatedly argued with Shetty

"I am not surprised at this. Big Brother is a show where people are stuck in a room and after a point, their true character is bound to come through," he said.

Mr Shekhar said the publicity would certainly not give a fillip to her career that is not doing too well at the moment.

"She did not have much work here and was therefore able to commit herself to this show for three months. It has made her a talking point for the time being, but that's about it," he said.

Wow, that Western democracy  ........there is no way it can survive:boo:

Saying someone was thin because of the lack of food isn't racist abuse. It's a pretty stupid comment by some brainless girl but hardly racist! Shilpa's accent was also ridiculed. Again this was just bitchiness for girls who haven't hit it off. A couple of celebrity's on there could also be said to have silly accents but saying so is hardly racist. Regionalist maybe but not racist!

The same thing as this happened last year on Celeb Big Brother against Jody Marsh who is white. Racism is disgraceful and wants to be stamped out but in this case it's just stupidity to call it racism. Sorry FC, but that still doesn't justify it. Killing people is wrong, whether it's from high up or down low.

The Iraq war was a monumental f**k up of the highest proportions but that still doesn't mean muslims should bomb British civilians because of the war.

Contrary to popular belief, the Iraq war wasn't non-muslims versus muslims. It was a war against Saddam Hussein's regime.

If it was a war against muslims, why did they let another muslim government take control?

^^ Thats what i am trying to point out. if the British engage in a war killing thousands and thousands we cannot be blamed if some Muslim person goes crazy and all radical and decides to kill people. Bad actions will most likely end up with bad responses. What Depout and Ulster are saying is as if those bombers just woke up one morning and said 'Hmm... Let me go blow myself up today and kill civilians'. There has to be a motive behind it. I am saying that if the British go around killing Arabs that chances are that they will respond in a bad way since there are some insane Arabs and some who would just defend them selfs in Iraq but not strike Britain and others that just would let it go by. Not all people are good.

The Iraqi War wasn't ever about Saddam....it was about the oil which drives many western states if not nearly all of them.

Yeah there is a muslim government taking over... and guess who is their ally and their masters that will be taking the oil from them for free? U..S..A.

normthebarman
01-17-2007, 10:59 PM
We all know a large part of it was about the oil. But it doesn't mean Saddam wasn't a c*nt.

The thing is, you say the bombings are understandable becasue of what some Brits did to some Arabs.

Does that mean it would understanable if the USA was to bomb the hell out of Saudi Arabia since that's where the majority of the 9/11 hijackers came from?

Again. I like you but please don't put words in my mouth. I never said it was understandable. Yeah there was a motive but it isn't right. I clearly pointed out that SOME Muslims mights find it reasonable to kill because of this war. I never said that it was the right thing to do. Killing civilians cannot ever be understandable. I am saying that some view it like that. Sad but true.

Saddam was a class A dumb ass and deserved to die for his massacres and actions but like you said a lot of the wars reason is because of the oil and honestly I think that Saddam would still be in power if Iraq had no oil. The US and its allies can care less about what is happening in the Middle East.

normthebarman

You're right about the oil part. If Iraq had no oil, there would've been no invasion (sorry, "liberation") and as you can tell from a few posters on here, most westerners couldn't give a toss about some "sand n*****s".

What half of them don't understand (or don't wan't to understand) is that half the sh*t caused in the middle east was created by us. Or at the very least, the seeds for all this crap were sewn by us. (the cessation of the holy land to the Jews right back to uniting all theses arab states in WWI when they didn't want to)

It's a f*cked up state of affairs and no mistake.
