It is reported that Birmingham and Luton have agreed a 2.5 million pounds fee for Luton striker Rowan Vine. He hasn't signed yet though...Watch this space.

Bruce is a keen fan of the youngster, particularly after he scored 3 times against Birmingham this season.

He might be a good signing though I really dont know much about him.

Steve Bruce seems to be a decent manager for Birmingham.

They were very unlucky to be relegated last season, but think who they finished under.......Portsmouth.

Look at the calibre of their team and their manager.

I think IF Birmingham stayed up last season they could possibly be in the top half of the premiership this season.

I can see Birmingham being promoted regardless of whether this transfer goes through or not.

Steve Bruce seems to have a serious striker fetish.
this signing means Birmingham will now have 7 strikers and Vine is of no better quality than the ones already there.
i'm surprised the board gave him the money for Vine.
the striking positions was the area where they least needed a new player.
overall though i think Bruce is doing a good job.

Bendtner, Forrsell, Jerome, Campbell all injured. He needed one. Bendtner will go back to Arsenal at the end of the season. He needs a full back and a central defender too.

The idea is to stregthen from the front. We need to spend now to maintain our position.

Vine signed tonight for 3 years.

Look for Birmingham to offload David Dunn to Bolton or Blackburn this week. I expect Bruce to bring another defender in then.

Birmingham signed Lee Carsley from Everton yesterday. Looks like the board are backing McLeish with some serious dough eh? :D

Man there was another 1200 posts I lost.

Anyhow, Kevin Phillips signed for Birmingham today He will do a job all day long in that league. He and Carsley are 2 very experienced signings. I hope we can keep Larsson an Mcfaddon now. I still feel the latter will jum ship though. :mad2:
