well they didnt take their chance of going through the intertoto cup to the Uefa cup. they lost in the third round to i think marseilles or bordeaux. not sure but it was a french team.

It was Marseille... They were sooooo close to moving through though...

But I agree, they always do good in Europe.. We could've used them this year... One of their best years was in 2004 ; Finished high in Ukraine, went farrrr into Europe and beat some good teams, were basically the base of the national team...

Then they sold some key players, and fell apart. Still have the potential to be great though.

Super news

Yatsenko and Startsev are in Dnipro. They still need a striker.
For Yatsenko it's really good to play in team that kind of good and have high goals.

Dnipro became very active in Transfers in recent days now they sign two players from CSKA Moscow. Uzbeki player Denisov or something like that and Russias U-21 forward Samodin.

Yea, hopefully it'll strengthen them a bit. With one or two more signings, they can becoem an amazing club again.

Yeah Dnipro is going to be better. They got lots of talent in their system.

Golies: Kernozenko-very strong keeper has an record of games without conceedeng a goal but got injured thats why Dhipro bought Startsev also have Kusliy

Defenders: is the strongest in Ukraine. With players like Rusol and Yezerskyy other teams could only dream.Plus Shershun,Gritsay and Yatsenko

Midfield: Nazarenko no comments leader of the team. Shalayev was a starter for Ukraine in Germany. Bartulovic and Devidson and recently bought Kankava who was a leader in Arsenal.

Forwards: Kornilenko(oblom DK) transfered from Dynamo and became awsome player and plays reguarly for Belarus. Needed another forward and they got it Samodin is one of the most talanted players in Russia.

Only Glavina and Aladashvili left so got to be better this year than the last. Wish they get 3rd place so next year would play in Europe.

Are you sure Samodin was actually good in Russia though? Like did he play regularly for his club team?? How old is he?

Even though DK's my team, I really want to see other clubs aside from the 'Krotiv' (Shakhtar) challenge for the title. Dnipro, Karpaty, Metalurh, Dynamo, Shakhtar... Hopefully in the enxt 4/5/6 years, all of them have similar chances of winning it. Or maybe DK and SD will sitll have the most chances, but hopefully those other teams just have much better chances then now.

I remember before there was a rumour Zorja Luhans'k and Metalurh Donets'k were going to form one club. That would've been amazing for our football ; Zorja = ALOT of loyal, good fans but no $, and Metalurh = Barely any fans, but ALOT of money. That club would've easily been able to challenge DK and SD....

I heard about him playing for CSKA but he never proved himself. Mostly played for reserve. He had like 14 games in PL. Plus there a lot of good forwards in CSKA Vagner Love, Zo etc. He still young born in 1985 like Milevski

Oh ok. Hopefully he's a good pickup for Dnipro. Who's your favourite team, by the way? Dnipro? Karpaty??

It depends. I root for Karpathy because I am from Lvivska oblast. Dnipro because thay think the only ones that can defeat Shakhtar and DK. I root for every Ukie team whenever they play European teams.

In Europe My favorite is Italy between National teams

Regular teams: Love Valencia, Inter, Milan in some point, Verder, Kievo,

hate Real

Round 9: Dnipro v Metalist 16th September

Must win for Dnipro if they are to make any challenge for the title, or runners-up as Dynamo Shakhtar have continually dominated.

My line-up:
----------Startsev (Kernozenko)

Sviderskiy--Rusol--Shershun--Hrytsai

-------------Shelaev
Andrienko--------------Kravchenko
------------Nazarenko

---Samodin(Karnilenka)----Vorobey

3-0 win for dnipro. i watched the match and can say that both teams played well. luck was on dnipro's side especially in the first goal. anyways in happy that dnipro won cause they can keep the pressure on shakhtar which by the way they are playing against in the next round. well its aberdeen next in uefa cup.

Yep Aberdeen next what do you make of it because Aberdeen have been very poor so far in the SPL...I fully expect Dnipro to advance

i dont really know much about the club, although i know it always took the role of a team that sort of always tries to catch up to celtic and rangers together with hearts. this is sort of the same story with dnipro, because they always try to catch up to shakhtar and dynamo who are always ahead. although this season dnipro started very well with 7 wins one draw and one loss and are trailing the leaders shakhtar by 3 points. we will see what happens but i see dnipro going through.

Yeah well Aberdeen's current form is 1-2-3 so it sounds an easy tie but they might just shock some people...

Good Result, and good to see players like Liopa get more game time. Hopefully Pashiev will get some game time when he is back.

Dnipro have a good record in European competitions, should be a good encounter against aberdeen.

Dnipro 1-1 Aberdeen
Vorobei 75' - Mackie 28'

Dnipro: Kernozenko, Denisov, Shershun, Rusol, Andrienko, Shelaiev, Nazarenko, Kankava (Kravchenko 58'), Liopa, Samodin (Karnilenka 74'), Vorobei

Aberdeen: Langfield, Hart, Diamond, Severin, Smith (Mair 46'), Nicholson, Mackie (Lovell 71'), Clark, Foster, Young, Considine

Out of the two competing in Uefa, I thought Dnipro would be the one to progress. Although take nothing away from Metalist almost stopped Evertons run in Europe up until the 70th minute.
