Well, according to the papers, Paul Le Guen has went for a bold move in an attempt to garner support from Rangers fans.

No big money signings for Le Guen as he tries to appease the bluenoses, oh no. That's too simple. Big PLG likes to think outside the box.

He decides that stripping the captiancy from fans favourite, lifelong Rangers fan and Scotland and club captain Barry Ferguson is a better move as he tries to get the 'Gers back into 2nd place. Ferguson has also been told he'll never play for Rangers again.

Now, I know last seasons 2nd placed team, Hearts, axed their captain and maybe Le Guen thinks this could be a shrewd move as he tries to match their achievement of last season, but really, emptying everyones favourite footballing superned seems strange to say the least.

PLG's sparkling CV, and all the fanfare that was around prior to his arrival, could soon hold no water with the increasingly annoyed Ibrox faithful.

Well, looks like you could be right, Lance. Now that Le Guen's left, Fergie is now ready to walk back in to the squad.

Still, although Le Guen's results weren't that great (actually, the worst record of any Old Firm manager, even worse than John Barnes) it still seems to me that Ferguson runs the Ibrox dressing room and not the (former) manager.

Still, I'm not too bothered. It takes the media spotlight away from the Jambos at least.

lol got to agree wiht you there. Le Guen's never really gained the respect of the players. and he was trying to take it by force which is never a good thing.
