So, what do you guys believe we need?

Starting from GK. I think we're set. Sasho is good for 2/3 more years (Forget this year, he had shoulder problems). And then we have Rybka - DK's next GK.

I think we need central defenders. Rodolfo, Rodrigo, and Gavrancic are all shit... The only 'good' defenders we have are Nesmachny (but he might go soon), El Kaddouri, Fedorov (but he's been hurt for ages), and Mandziuk (But he's young).....

In Mid, we're strong.... Rebrov, Rincon, Husjev, Correa, Rotan'.... Are the best ones we have, IMO. They might get Kalinichenko too, which isn't bad.

Upfront... We're good. Shatskikh, Milevsky, Kleber....Those are 3 solid strikers.... But, Milevsky and Kleber are out of form lately, so its really only Shatskikh scoring on a regular basis. We could use a striker, but we need a central defender much, much more.

This all in my opinion, of course..

I noticed that Gavrancic is really out of form, he just isn't the same defender as he used to be. Markovic is also a good defender, Dynamo needs him, I am proud of him. He is talented.

And I never knew that they got rid of Jerk Alert, Jerko Leko, I mean. He is a good player, has been in a poor form recently.

And Dynamo has lots of Brazilians, don't think they could be anything like Ronaldo or Rivaldo.

And if they want to have more audience on their home games, they should increase the ground at least 17.300 seats. They have 16.900 now. And I don't think Anatoly Demyanenko will last another year.

yeah gavrancic isnt a good defender anymore. he srewed up really bad in the first RM game. markovic is ok now but still has to improve. is think kleber is a brazilian and hes ok. obviously not like ronaldo or rivaldo:lol: and increasing the audience is pointless, cause the lobanovsky stadium if for home games because less people come for home games. for CL games they use the 88k olympiyskiy which is really shit right now. they said they are either gonna like majorly upgrade it or demolish it and build a new one, which in my idea is a lot better cause olypmiyskiy is just so old and it will probably cost much less to build a new one. we dont even need 88 thousand. they should build a good 55k stadium with all the shit and that will be good for 10 years. yeah i would also like to see demyanenko to go.

Hey Andriy, where are you from man? Good to see another DK fan here. Is it really Demjanenko? I mean, so many coaches before him failed too. With different players, and less foreigners, Ukrainian coaches succeeded. One of two things is needed for DK to have succes (IMO)

1) They have alot of foreign players, so they get a foreign coach so the players feel more comfortable.

2) Sell most of their foreigners, only keep a select few. Use a Ukrainian coach. Now, the players will understand the mentality, and tactics.

I want it to be option two, but we'll see.... I know people wanted Blokhin to coach DK, I do too - But not during the time hes coaching Ukraine NT. I prefer success for UA then DK, so, if he can never coach DK because he's coaching UA - It's fine with me. But if he stops coaching UA - Let him coach DK =).

well since blokhin did so good in the WC Surkis right away wanted him to go to DK. This shows that he cares much more for DK than the national team.

Dynamo beat Hamburg today, 4 - 1 :). Farkash got 3 goals, Husjev got one.

First half, this was Dynamo's squad : Shovkovsky - Markovic, Gavrancic, Rodrigo, Nesmachny - Correa, Mykhalyk - Rotan', Rebrov, Ninkovic - Kleber.

Second half : Rybka - Dopilka, Vaschuk, Mandzjuk, Fedoriv - Yussouf - Belkevich, Husjev - Milevsky, Shatskikh.

All the scoring happened in the 2nd half. Dynamo was up 3 - 0, Hamburg scored, then DK got the final one :).

Even though it's only a friendly and neither team played with their absolute best teams ; A nice win nonetheless :smoking: .

1 - 1 vs Makkabi, 2 - 2 vs Spartak... Both times, DK came back from behind......Not a good tournament, but its the offseason and its a friendly one.. Like Surkis said, is it better to win this and have a sh*t season? Or lose this, and have an amazing 2007? I'd take the 2nd option...

So... After seeing the last two games, I'll say what I would want our squad to be as of now..

-----------------Sasho----------------------
Markovic -- Rodrigo -- Mandzjuk -- El Kaddouri (Or Nesmachny, I like both)
------- Husyev ------- Mykhalyk -------
---------- Rebrov ---- Rotan'----------
------- Shatskikh -------- Milevsky

lol I know, but they have to prepare properly to have a good season... They cant play all their best players and risk someone getting hurt.. Or they can't focus too much on this tourney and stop thinkin about preparing.. Well they could, but it would probably lead to a bad season ;)

DK beat Maccabi Tel Aviv in a friendly today, 2 - 1. Kleber and Rodolfo scored for DK to make it 2 - 0, then Maccabi scored in the 85th minute to cut the lead in half. DK's squad was :

Rybka (Lutsenko, 46'), Vaschuk, Rodolfo (Shatskikh, 65'), Romanchuk, Yussouf (Markovic, 75'), Belkevich (Ninkovic, 46'), Rotan', Aliev, Farkasz, Oliynik, Kleber.

So what, our squad probably looked similar to this to start off with I assume

------------------Rybka-----------------
--Vaschuk -- Rodolfo -- Romanchuk -- Yussouf
--Belkevich -- Aliev -- Rotan -- Oliynik--
---- Kleber --------- Farkasz ------

DK's next game is tomorrow, January 30th.

yeah i know. they need to play the youth more. the old squad is almost all finished they have to start making a new squad from young uki players instead of buying foreigners. back when dynamo got to the semis in 99 only like 3 of thier players were foreign. the rest were pure ukrainians.

I have recently watched a movie called "Escape to Victory" which was inspired by the historical event "the death match" about the Dynamo Kiev squad of 1942 that played against the best German teams during the German occupation of Ukraine. They won all their games but they were sent in a concentration camp and tortured to death. I tried to do more research but my sources don't give further information. I would apreciate if someone could give more information about this legendary Dynamo Kiev team

I recently watched a program called history detectives they were talking about that. They found a lot of interesting facts. First they played not only Germans but Hungarians and Romanians occupants too. Also Germany actually supported this kind of games because it brought citizens to peaceful life. Also there been Ukrainian pro nazi team that hated Dynamo and DK always beat them. Surprisingly they found that not all players were executed some recieved their awards in 1960's as it said in newspaper. Only like sixth of them were actually killed but for coopareting with Soviets or stealing something but probably it was just cover up.

Former Lokomotiv Moscow and russian national team coach Yuri Semin has been appointed as Dynamo coach. A bit of an "old" update. Dynamo won the First Chanell Cup on penalties against Shakhtar in the final. On its way there it beat Spartak in a old rivalry derby match 3-0. They also tied Red Star Belgrade 1-1, but that was enough for a First place finish in their group to move to the final. Shakhtar in the group stage defeated Beitar 4-0, and defeated CSKA Moscow 3-1.

Looks like a really class player, but I'm worried he won't fit into Dynamo because in Dynamo (since Lobanovskiy's death) they really play ONLY team game which means basically no individual play. That's why I really started hating Dynamo since then because the stupid coaching staffs didn't let players open up and made them play too much of a passing game. Many great talents were totally ruined because of this. Under Lobanovskiy Ibricic would of became a world class player.

Like Shakhtar... they almost ruined Castillo's career. They hardly fielded him and it was a nightmare for him staying there.

castillo was a different story. when castillo would play in a game he would play the game by himself too much and play for himslef a lot.(probably because he wanted to prove that he's really good to the coach, and he's just that type of player) But he screwed up a lot, lost stupid possessions and I remember one time didn't score penalty in a very important match (he literally took the ball away from lucarelli who was fouled and took the penalty) Shakhtar coach Lucescu is the type of coach that doesn't like that arrogant type of play and likes to play more of a team game. But if you do it, you better do it perfect because of you don't hell get very angry at you. Castllo didn't really perfrom good for shakhtar and was very unlucky, and that's why they loaned him right away to man city.

he's a great individual player... but if you saw that video... you would realize he's one of the most beautiful passsers/crossers in the Balkans. sure he's individual when he truly believes he can score... but he can be either type of player so I'm not worried a bit. What's good about him is he's a big pacifist to coaches. He does what the coaches tell him to do. If they say, run 5 miles, he'll literally run 5 miles without complaining.

Little bit of an old update:

Dynamo purchased 24 yeard old Croatian defensive midfielder Ognjen Vukojević from Dinamo Zagred. He's a really good defensive player and can get involved in attack very well. He played something like 10 minutes against Austria in EURO 08 and played the whole match against Poland. In that match he ran the most metres in the team and also got one yellow card late in the match.

Dynamo also signed Nigerian striker Emmanuel Okoduwa which is a stupid transfer in my opinion.

Dynamo recently are trying to sign Santos defender Betao. A swap deal with Dynamo midfielder Micheal is also very possible.

We got:

Arsenal
Porto
Fenerbahce

After the 8-2 aggregate win over Spartak in 3rd Q, I'm looking into this CL with a bit more optimism than before. We have been absolutely awful last 3 season in CL.

We had some problems in attack mainly because Milevskiy was injured. Milevskiy and Bangoura are the ones that lead the attack on our team. They have pretty good connection which each other. Without Milevskiy we have no 'tall guy' who can win headers and hold the ball before passing it to Bangoura. Today we played only with Bangoura upfront, and it was very difficult for him there alone. Semin didn't play Kravec instead of Milevskiy cause Kravec is way too inexperieced for this type of game. Without the 2 strikers we filled the midfield adding Eremenko who also haven't payed that many matches for Dynamo since he moved from Udinese. This gave less room for Aliyev to operate in making it more uncomfortable for his type of game.

Also El Kadouri was disqualified for this match and our whole defensive left flank was bad. Nesmachny was really bad and not the player he was 5 years ago. He was the one responsible for the goal since he wasn't even near Walcott when he was making the cross, and I also believe that low cross somehow went through his legs. It was awful... Not a bad performance, but could have been better.

Bangoura also screwed up big time, when Dynamo was counter attacking with a 2 on 1, Bangoura gave a pass right into that one defender's legs instead of the free Aliyev how was on the left ready for the finish. If Dynamo scored there it could have been over.
