SFN News was an Idea brought up by Caruiz93. I have taken this Idea and I have done some modifications in order for it to be a bit more fun. The whole purpose of SFN Times it is just to have fun and at the same time to be a bit more inform about some topics. Topics can be from a soccer match to a soccer player career. The news paper will be upgrade it every week in order to give some time for the members to turn in their article!

Hugo Sanchez The New Head Coach of Mexican National Team

Well today November 16, 2006 the expeculations have ended with the election of Hugo Sanchez Marquez as the new head coach of the Mexican National Team. Hugo Sanchez 48 years old. He is known as The Best Mexican Soccer player. He was successful through out his career. He play 12 seasons in the Spanish Primera Division and is the second highest goal scorer in the Spanish League. He was a member of the Mexican National Team. He played for his beloved country during world cup 1978, 1986 and 1994. After retiring from football in 1997 with Real Madrid He decided to become a Coach in 2000 He then came back to his beloved team UNAM or better known as Pumas. During 2004 Hugo Sanchez gave Pumas two consecutive Championships as their Manager this was his golden era with Pumas. He then retired from Pumas and he was inactive waiting for an Opportunity to Coach the NT. He criticize a lot how the NT was been managed during 2006 right before the World Cup he wanted an opportunity to Coach the NT but that did not happened. Hugo Sanchez disappear for sometime after the world cup and then out of nowhere he decided to coach Necaxa. He did not have a successful season with them. He did not have enough time with them since he sign with this club at mid season so there was not much he could do for them.

Hugo Sanchez was the people’s favorite to coach the NT. Everyone in Mexico knew that is was Hugo’s Sanchez turn to Coach the NT. Because it was something that it was bound to happened. He made promises to the whole country in bringing new faces to the NT. He has promises of bringing new talent to the NT. He said to do a mix of young and experience players to make a great NT.

Hugo Sanchez was elected today November 16, 2006 as the Head Coach the decision of making him the Head Coach of the NT came as a Unanimous decision. But it is not Unanimous when every one wanted him to be the Coach of the NT. Almost all of the Owners of the Clubs in Mexico wanted him as the head coach for the NT they believe in him.

Hugo Sanchez said that he does not want to make it to Quarter Finals he want’s to make it to finals and to win the World Cup. He seems ambitious in his words. He also said that he will call up to the NT



Mexicans playing in Europe

Players born in another country but with Mexican Citizenship.


He denied that he is not entitled to call up players like Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Jaime Lozano.

La Creacion del America

El America fue creado cuando el equipo Record, formado por los estudiantes del Colegio de Mascarones se unio con el equipo Colon, formado por los estudiantes del Colegio Perpetua.
Los equipos se juntaron en la dirrecion 136 Jose A. Alzate. Localizada en la colonia Santa Maria la Ribera en la Ciudad de Mexico. El nuevo equipo fue creado el 12 de Octubre de 1916.

Los dos pincipales en crear el equipo fue Rafael Garza Gutierrez y German Nuñez. Los Jugadores de este nuevo equipo no podian encontran un nombre para el equipo. Hasta que
Pedro "Cheto" Quintanilla tuvo la idea de nombrar al equipo "America".

Ya que el equipo fue creado el Octubre 12, el dia que el continente America fue descubierto. Luego los jugadores decidieron tener el continente de America y las letras "C"y "A" para significar Club America. El Diseño "circular" es un balon. No se parese como un balon moderno, porque cuando el Equipo fue creado los balones eran de piel.

Los colores del equipo los decidio Rafael, ya que el tenia unos chores azules y una vieja camisa amarilla.


Al empiezo habia peleas internas porque a los Jugadores, que actualmente eran dos equipos no les gustaba dividir el poder. Con el tiempo aprendieron a jugar juntos. En 1918 el America estaba en el ultimo lugar. Y en esa temporada el nombre fue cambiado a Union. El mismo nombre que uso las Chivas de Guadalajara de 1906 a 1908. En 1920 el nombre fue cambiado otra vez de Union a America.

En el periodo de 1916 y 1920 el America jugaba en una liga intercolegial. Y el America queria subir a la "Liga Mayor". Durante este tiempo el presidente del America fue Florencio Dominguez Cortina. En la "Liga Mayor" los equipos extranjeros miraban al America como una basura. Y tambien los despreciaban por ser un equipo de puro Mexicano. Ya que los demas equipos eran casi de puros extranjeros. En ese tiempo los equipos grandes era el Necaxa, España, Asturias, y Atlante.

Para que el America podiera ser aceptado a la Liga Mayor tenian que ganar 3 juegos. No podian perder ninguno. Los primeros dos juegos los ganaron y el tercero lo empataron. Y asi el America pudo ingresar. El America fue campeon cuatro veces seguidas desde 1924 hasta 1928.
Desde esos campeonatos el America no pudo ganar otro campeonato hasta 38 años despues en la temporada 1965-66.

En 1959 el presidente de Televisa, Emilio Azcarraga compro al club, con la intencion de hacer un antagonista para el Futbol Mexicano. Y empezo a gastar mucho dinero adquiriendo a muchos jugadores buenos. Haciendo a los aficionados enojar. Y asi poco por poco, mas y mas gente empezo a odiar al America.

We Have A Coach!

Califboyz have pay $6M for him and he signed a contract with Califboyz. He has raised high expectations for the players. He wants every player to truly commit to the team. We have asked each player about where they can perform better in the field. We want everyplayer to play in a position where they feel comfortable and we should have a successful season de la torre said.

Good thinking, this didn't really go well. So we should just use this for the Mexican Fantasy League.

Maybe i can send some interview questions trough PM to 1-2 people every week and ask them questions about the game etc.

And we can also make news articles ourselves about our team and post them here also.

Club Chingon Day

Today Club Chingon showed their uniforms they'll use for Clausura 2007. The uniforms were made by the soccer company "Concord".

The uniform presentation was at the brand new stadium "La Monumental". Where many legends showed up to witness the grand opening of the stadium, including Pele, Eric Cantona, and Zidane. In an interview Zidane said "this is a real nice stadium, hopefully they let me and my friends come in and play some games, i wished i wouldve made my famous headbutt here". The stadium has a retractable field that floats on water for easy moving. There's many things inside the stadium including restaurants, stores etc. There's also 10 futsal soccer courts behind the stadium where people can have fun and play the beutiful game.

Today Califboyz have reveal their uniforms for the next season. A lot of critics are saying that they look a lot like Chivas with some minor changes. Jose Manuel De La Torre coach of Califboyz was happy with the uniforms that the players will be wearing. A couple of players like Gonzalo Pineda, Alberto Medina and Patricio Araujo were happy with the uniforms since they look like their beloved team Chivas the others were happy too with the uniform.

Califboyz Stadium

Chivas will be playing all of their home games at Estadio Jalisco a wonderful facility with a 90,000 seating capacity but do to safety regulations the stadium current capacity is at about 56, 700. This stadium has seen great matches through out the years it has held World Cup Matches and it was home to the Brazilian National Team. Califboyz are happy with the facility and they are looking forward to having a full stadium each time they play.

Califboyz have decided to apologized publicly to every single club in the league since their Bank Accountant made a big mistake and Califboyz expenses were over the limit. Califboyz expended $87M dollars instead of $82M. It was a huge mistake indeed and actions have been taken. Califboyz are sad to see Vicente Sanchez leave this instituion he was really comfortable here but he understands our situation our best wishes go out for him and we are again apologizing to everyone.

Stunning News

Tonight Stunning news coming out of Caliboyz the season has not started and they are having problems already there has been a lot of confusion. Calif (owner) of Califboyz is having to do all of the accounting himself since he fired his accountant, but he is having lots of trouble. Jose Manuel De La Torre has apparently resigned as Califboyz head coach since he's anger was too much since Califboyz resigned Vicente Sanchez. More news to come through out the night!!!

Jose Luis Trejo has signed with Califboyz he is aware of all of the chaos that has been going on tonight but he has accepted the challenge to coach the team. He has seen a lot of talent in this squad and he thinks that they should do great during the season. He wants to change the starting 11 since there might be a new player arriving. Calif(owner) has personally pick him and he is confident that he is the right man for the job!

Este balon es el balon que la liga va a usar durante este torneo. A la diectiva del torneo le gusta ese estilo retro. Y piensa que es un muy buen balon.
