FC Porto: 34
Sporting: 29

Do you think Benfica still has a chance to win the Superliga? Please note that they have one less game than Porto and Sporting.

Yeah, I think it's still too earlier to say that Benfica has no chance of winning the league this year. Although they're quite far behind. Need to start winning more games.
I'd love to see Benfica win the Uefa Cup. I Think they have a good chance this year. Besides Benfica, I think Sevilla, Ajax and Werder Bremen has a good chance of winning it.

Besides Benfica I always liked Ajax so if Big Ben cant do it like to see Ajax claim it.

Oh Come on Benfica64! Of course Big Ben can do it!
They'll win it this year! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll tell Uefa that there's no need for further matches and that they should just hand the trophy over to Benfica in order not to waste time. :D

Dream On... Benfica is middle table team. Probably they will be beyond 10th and that is a good classification

I would like to see Fonseca stay with Benfica as I like the player, however I think for himself he should try to move to another European club because he isnt getting much playing time at all at Benfica. I myself throw Da macaronai micoli on the bench and play kikin or at least give them share time because being fair Mic has played some good games for Benfica. Kikin is good but he just not getting the time so if I where him I be looking around for another club. Cali said he wants to head back to Mexico but like Cali I also agree that he should stay in Europe, but it depends I mean Chivas wants to pay him better Money its really up to kikin.

I don't know who Cali is. In which club does he play in?

The current standings are:
FC Porto: 37
Sporting: 32
Benfica: 26
All three teams won their last game. No difference in standings. Benfica still have one less game played so they could go up to 29. That would be 3 points from Sporting and 8 from FC Porto.

Kikin never said he wannet to go back to Mexico, in an interview he stated that he loves Benfica and does not have plans to leave Benfica anytime soon. But like you said Kikin needs to get more involved with his club, if he doesn't he obviously is not going to improve as a soccer player! :smoking:

I think it's important to get enough playing time. Without that, it's very difficult to adapt to a new club. The coach only recently has been giving him a little more chances. He scored yesterday which was great, that will certainly boost his confidence.
I think he's a very good player. I saw him in the WC this year. He played well against Portugal and also scored an awesome goal.
I hope he stays in Benfica. I've heard rumours he may be leaving though. Not sure if that's true or not.

Yeah we all want him to stay with Benfica but if he doesn't get enough playing time he woun't adapt to European style of play. I say give him one more season with Benfica and he will demonstrate what he's really capable of doing. By the way their are some rummors that he might leave soooner then expected, let's just hope they're not true.

Who's Benfica's best player?
Simoes, ( Nuno) Rui Costa would be hands down easily the best player though hes still darn good hes a shadow of his prime playing days. Costa a Friggin legend in my book.

kikins goal has made me change my mind.now i think he should stay until the end of this season.he scored a goal and that will most likely give him more playing time and if he can use that time to score more then he can get into the starting 11.he should wait and make his decision until the endo fo the season.if he does leave i thing he should be loaned out to a smaller portuguese club for 1 season where he can get strting playing time.then when he gets adapted then he should go back to benfica.

I prefer Katsouranis, I think he's a more complete player. Did he come from AEK? Is that where Fernando Santos worked with him?

You see that's not the problem man, the problem is that the Mexican teams are going to decide his fate! That kind of sucks but that's just the way it is! I'm pretty sue Kikin doesn't want to leave Benfica but it's not up to him to make that decision. :croc:

It really sucks when you rely on others to make a decison about your own future. Oh well, I guess football is that way...

Yeah that really sucks a lot, but what I think they should do with Kikin is loan him out to America(MEX) for like a year or so. Then when his time is up he should return to Benfica hopefully with a whole different mentality then what he has right now and maybe that will help him do better with Benfica!

No he needs to stay with Benfica IMOP because he needs to play more and more to keep adapting if he goes back to Meixco it won't help him IMOP.

Well he should get loaned out to any European team don't you think! Because what if he has a great season with the team he gets loaned out too, he might come back to Benfica as a star player! :sleepy:

I agree. If he doesn't stay at Benfica, it would be better for him if he was loaned to another European club. Sometimes, all you need is a little more chance to play to change your luck.
I heard on Portuguese TV, about an hour ago, that Benfica in the next couple of days, will decide on Kikin's future in the club. They are several Mexican teams interested, especially America, but since Benfica have invested a large amount of money on him, they'll have to decide what the best situation will be.
In my opinion, this probably means one of two things:
a) Benfica keeps Kikin till the end of the season
b) Benfica loans him to another European side
Today on TV, Kikin confirmed he'd like to stay at Benfica.
