Turkish football is falling and falling and falling.... SInce the double European Cup victories of Galatasaray. None of the Turkish clubs, even the National team as a matter a fact has done absolutely nothing !!

Galatasaray lost 2-0 in PSV EIndhoven yesterday and said goodbye to the Chamopions League once again. Even UEFA Cup place could be a dream for the former UEFA Cup holders.

Now Besiktas is lost 2-1 to lowly Dinamo Bucharest with a 88th minute penalty kick goal by Niculescu.

Zan fauled Nic in the penalty spot and received a red card from the ref. Moti of Dinamo is also dismissed for receiving second yellow. Each side was man down until the 94th minute. Margaritescu was thrown out with a red card to bring Dinamo down to 9 men.

Why would you play Kleberson who is not fully healed from his injury? Was this a UEFA Champions League final match? Was this a match that would determine the winner of the SUper League?
The answer is no!! NO!! and NO!!!!

First of all he played in %50 capasity and left the field injured again giving his place to Gokhan. ( he might be more seriously injured now)

All the talents of coach Tigana and the star power of Nobre (injured for this match),Bobo,Ricardinho,Kleberson,Runje,Delgado is doing absolutely nothing against the all Romanian squad full of European rejects.
Look at the so called Powerhouse club Fenerbahce...

They let Anelka and Nobre go. In their places they brought in Lugano,Edu, Tumer, Kezman and Deivid.

After the 1-0 loss to Newcastle, Fenerbahce is dominating their opponents and finally the Brazilian striker Deivid exploded with a hat trick last weekend.

But is this hot streak going to continue against the European teams. Next UEFA opponent Palermo is not a match for all mighty Fenerbahce with it's star power of Alex, Kezman, Aurelio, Appiah, Tuncay Sanli, Deivid, Lugano, Rustu and others...

But hey look at Besiktas.... Only success of Turkey right now is Kayseri who advanced to the UEFA Cup from InterToto and played pretty well defeating 6 teams on the way. Also Vestel Manisa the new leaders of Turkish Super League. I'd love to see them win the title. WIth their young and cheap talent.

And for Turkish National Team..... In my opinion Terim has one of the best squads in the world. But doesnt know how win like a good squads does.

There are not many foreign coaches can understand the mentality of Turkish players. One of them was Lucescu who had tremendaus success in Turkey.

Longest Turkey continues to have a foreign player rule. Turkish football will go down and down more. Both Turkish and foreign coaches are confused with 6 foreign 5 Turk rule. get rid of the rules!!! Look at PSV...How many Dutch players have you seen in their squad??

Also Turkish League needs more star players like Anelka,Carew,Hagi,Jardel, De Boer, Hooijdonk,.... Where is Henry Fenerbahce promised.:mad2:

It's okay SiN, he talks about the general issues of Turkish Football and using BJK as an example.

I do agree with most of what you said there necro, especially about the foreign rule. I do not understand why Turks think that if they didn't have a foreign rule that their players wouldn't improve. I for one think that if they had more foreign players in their league, their football would improve significantly and not just because there would be lots of foreigners but also their players would improve their technique. They would get a chance to practice with the best players and get tips from them. Turkish football would gradually improve.

Turkish media always comes up with lies, and talks about promises that are never made necro. Like you said that Fenerbahce promised Henry, that's just a lie. Fenerbahce has a board that always does what they promise. They never promised Henry, they promised a star. We got 2 stars, Kezman and Lugano. They're both well established players, Kezman was great with PSV and Lugano was named the best South American defender two years in a row. It's more than I expected from them.

I dont know if u call 3rd place in the WC and Confederation cup nothing.

Anyways, if anybody actually watched todays game it was an unjust score. If it werent for the harsh weather conditions BJK would have scored atleast 10% of their chances which is like 5 goals. BJK was also unjustly given a red card and a penalty to follow. This is ridiulous.

But Turkish teams in general always tend to do poorly in European competitions. We have a problem and i cant figure out wat it is. We can play great but still end up losing. Just like FB vs. Newcastle. Newcastle caught one lucky rebound and it was a goal in the 77th minute.

When did Fener promise Henry? It was more like GS who promised pires, figo, and zidane
