Ukrainian Cup: Quarter Finals

FC Dnipro - FC Dynamo Kiev
PFC Sevastopol - Shakhtar Donetsk
Metalist - Illichivets

It was cool seeing PFK Sevastopil put up a good cup run this year... They just ran out of gas vs Shakhtar though.. But for a 2nd division team, thats good.. Last year, when Karpaty was in the first division, they got to the Semi Finals... Who next year? =)

And of course, need to mention Dynamo Kyiv.... Hard two legs vs Dnipro, but they just did what it took to get by them... Anyways, Dynamo and Dnipro are friends, we have a friendship going back to Soviet times when both groups of fans dreamed of an independant Ukraine : http://i17.tinypic.com/2zp381l.jpg

Got tired seeing Dynamo-Shakhtar final year to year at least make Ukrainian cup more interesting

Even as a DK fan, I admit there is "something" going on.... Dynamo will NEVER meet Shakhtar in a Semi, or Quarterfinal game.... Ever... & That's b*llshit. Our league's been getting less corrupt lately, but there is still some things that bug me..

Cups usually tend to have their own rules. Little teams somehow manage to beat bigger ones miraculously. I find cups as a good way to train the youth and give them experience. Also small teams can gain good tv money for their finances helping them buy better players. Plus by winning u get a free ride to the UEFA cup, well at least in Turkey so for a small team thats a pretty good deal.

yeah and when a team that us going to the CL or already is going to the Uefa cup wins it then the 2nd place gets it.
