Barcelona secure option for £12M Palacio

Barcelona have secured first refusal for exciting Boca Juniors striker Rodrigo Palacio.
Palacio has been linked with Juventus, but Barca president Joan Laporta negotiated first refusal for the forward over a dinner meeting with Boca supremo Mauricio Macri.

Laporta knows it will take £12 million to land Palacio, who can also operate in midfield.

With Samuel Eto'o sidelined with a knee injury, a January move for Palacio could be on for Barca.

Boca Juniors president: No Barcelona option for Palacio

Boca Juniors president Mauricio Macri has cooled reports that Barcelona supremo Joan Laporta has secured first option on striker Rodrigo Palacio.
"We spoke about many things when we met for dinner," Macri said yesterday. "But at no stage did we talk about an option for Palacio.

"In any case, we've already decided the plan for Palacio. He will stay here for two more years. We won't consider selling him."

I think that this might not be anytime soon because I've heard that Macri is doing all that he can to not let him leave Boca Juniors anytime soon!!!!!
