Barcelona's Deco wants to end career at Porto

Barcelona midfielder Deco has revealed that he plans to finish his career at Porto.

"It is one of my great dreams to finish my career at Porto," said Deco. "I have lots of memories from my time with Porto and it would be sensational to repeat the experience."

Deco spent five years at Porto and, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, won the Portuguese domestic treble in 2003 and the Champions League in 2004. But despite his desire to return, Deco insists that he still has much to do at the La Liga Champions where he has been integral in the club's recent revival.

"Still I do not have a concrete date for the return because now I only think of winning more titles in Barcelona especially the Champions League. It will be a dream to win three Champions League's in my career."

Yeah I hope he comes back to FC. Porto someday. I enjoyed watching him play. He was pure class. He became famous at Porto and still has many friends there.

Deco has sent shockwaves through Barcelona by admitting he may not see out his contract with the European champs.
The Portugal international, who is contracted to Barca until 2010, said: "I do not know if I am going to fulfill my contract. At the moment things are fine, but it is not possible to anticipate what will happen here months or years into the future."

Deco added: "Whenever things go wrong, it is always Ronaldinho or myself who is the first to be targeted (by the media)."

The midfielder continued: "This season is going to be a tough one. It's not that Barcelona hasn?t continued to improve, but the other teams are much stronger, like Sevilla for example."

Hmm. I'm kinda shocked to hear Deco say this. I thought he was perfectly happy at Barça.

The media (and fans) can be very cruel sometimes consistently blaming one or two players for any bad team performance. I suspect he said this to the media in order to send them a message, something along the line of "Stop harrassing me, or Stop targeting me!! :D

:lol: thats is normal in football. Fans/the media will worship u when u do good & then turn againsts u when thing get bad. Meh, Deco shouldn't cave in to the pressure its the same everywhere in every club. I hope he stays in Barca!
