yup damn hell right, finally guti gettin the repect and honors he deserve, all those years he was one of the most consistant players at real and never missed any chances. it was kinda shitty too when they used to say that guti and beckham plays the same style so they cant be on the field at the same time, that was just stupid.
Real Madrid's Capello: Guti our playmaker
September 24, 2006
Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello says midfielder Guti was the difference in last night's win at Real Betis.
Guti, who admitted before the start of the season of having doubts over his future under Capello, impressed in a midfield role and Capello said: "Guti can play. We can play with him there, with Guti placed in midfield because he can invent football.
"Everyone had a good game. Guti did very well technically. More than usual.

Guti is a good player and is playing well.
His vision is good, and so he makes some wicked through balls.itll be hard to be a starter though especially when ronaldo comes back, were gonna have a lot of attackers to satisfy, hes good but cassano was playing well too.
maybe this will be what it will look like
--------rvn
-reyes----guti----raul
or
---ron----rvn
reyes--------raul
or bechjam in for reyes and then swiched sides.
sure he can be, why not. Last season when Zizou was injuried, Guti replaced him, and wasn;t that bad, He's not Zidane, of course, but he very good

Guti has been and continue to be a good player, but I wouldn't trust him the creativity of my game, if I were Capello.....to me Real should invent a new way of playing, without a playmaker, since it seems we don't have one, and we won't be signing one anytime soon either....

Guti is the right kind of player for that role, Good vision and crisp passing.
Does anyone else think that reyes doesn't get rid of the ball quick enough? It seems that he is always holding onto the ball way too long and not seeing the runs made by his teammates. In one of his league games where he scored eventually he had played terribly up to that point. He kept trying to go 1v1 and lost the ball too much which was killing the attack.

thats not what i hope its just how i think some of the games will look.
i dont think ronaldo is fit yet, but i think he will atleast get SOME playing time which will take away from some of our other players playing time such as guti.
OUr attackers are basically:
Raul
RVn
ROnaldo
RObinho
REyes
BEckham
GUti
Cassano
THats 8 and only four will play a game most likely unless he wants to leave out diarra or emerson for another attacker. With the three subs at MOST 7 of the players will not play. I think guti cassano, Robinho and ronaldo will be get the least amount of playing time.

Guti just made a fantastic pass against Atletico and Raul scored. But Atletico are hitting him hard and trying to drill a hole in his legs.

i disagree once again
our attackers are: Raul, RVN, Ronaldo, Guti, Cassano
and wingers: Robinho, Reyes, Beckham
from your list that is
now if RVN is on ronaldo might sub on for him
i would say guti and cassano might mix it up too as cassano can playmake a bit too
and well raul just hotting it up. its EL CAPTIAN
then robinho and reyes might switch it around but
yesterday reyes did well. at first he was pisiing me off but then he really picked up the pace and put in some good crosses
and well as far as i see we just no playing with a RWM,
but when ramos was unfairly sent off, and beckahm subbed on, Real actually started to fight back pretty well. you see becks knows how to bring the fight to them

After Ramos left the game we started to go down and down.....Becks didn't contribute to the team in anything, he just cleared up the balls he ran into, after the red card we didn't play well, we were just waiting for Atletico's response......
And about Guti, it seems he's improving, let's see what time has to say about him......

i wouldnt really say that becks clearing the balls were useless, cause it actually relieved some pressure. but he did start off some counter attacks coming down to the end

Guti is the most underated player in our team...
He is alot better than he gets credit for and is one player that gives his all for the team, I love his through balls and he a player that i hope to see alot more of this season.

alright well i geusse i can see what u mean, i just thought that beckham would get more playing time later, and u know raul and rvn are fixed, i just think that reyes is playing well enough that Capello would start him on the left. BUT id rather have raul rvn and guti with either beckham, reyes, or robinho.
And about Beckham, its kinda hard to look at the game because with the man down the players dont have the extra option to pass so Beckham did what he had to do, he wasnt good but he did what he had to under the pressure of Atletico,

Ya-huh.....that's a fact, Guti is one of the truliest Madrilistas in the team now, probably behind Raul and Carlos, he was one of the victims -among Solari, of the Galacticos era, eventhough they were playing better than Zizou or Figo or Becks they were still left in the bench, because their image didn't sell.....
I do want to see more of Guti, and it seems he's doing everything it takes to be a starter.....he's starting his path very well, he's consolidating as a key player, and that's good, that's good....

Real Madrid's Guti leaves Capello fuming
November 18, 2006
Real Madrid paid a fitting tribute to the late Ferenc Puskas in last night's 3-1 defeat of Racing Santander.
Real marked the occasion with a lone cellist playing during a minute's silence before the match while the giant screens at the Bernabeu showed a video montage of the much-respected Hungarian, who died on Friday at the age of 79.
Goals from Sergio Ramos, Jose Antonio Reyes and Mahamadou Diarra put Real on their way to a seventh league win, with Ezequiel Garay's spectacular reply for Racing little more than a consolation.
Guti saw red and afterwards coach Fabio Capello said: "That dismissal angered me in two ways. Firstly, because I was going to replace him with a youth player and secondly, now he is suspended for the Valencia game. Guti's send-off has cost a young boy his debut."
He went on: "We have created clear opportunities to score goals and Racing has been dangerous twice through the head of Zigic. The result is good and has merit.
"In the first-half we had opportunities, I warned yesterday that they are a team in good form after seven games without losing.
"It was not an easy game."

Guti delighted as new Real Madrid deal inked
November 21, 2006
Guti has signed his new Real Madrid contract, keeping him at the club until 2010.
After a difficult weekend, where it appeared Real would refuse to meet Guti's demands, the midfielder was delighted last night to put pen to paper on his new deal.
Guti had originally demanded a five-year contract worth £3.5 million-a-season, but after talks with Real chief Pedja Mijatovic yesterday relented to knocking a year off his agreement in exchange for the club meeting his financial terms.
The deal through to 2010 will keep Guti at Real until he is 34 years old.
Real coach Fabio Capello said: " I asked for his re-signing. He is a very important player. His career has not been as great as it could have been. I do not understand why he has played so little for Spain."
i dont't know why either
guti is like spain's zindane

Real Madrid's Guti: I feel in great form! October 31, 2007
Real Madrid midfielder Guti admits he's in some of the best form of his career.
Guti turns 31 today and ahead of tonight's clash with Valencia said: "I am in a excellent period, I'm enjoying playing soccer more than ever, with the same dreams I had on the first day when I arrived as a child at the Sport City.
"To beat Valencia and obtain three points - so we can continue to be leaders would be the best birthday present."

Schuster: Real Madrid missed the blonde lad
November 06, 2007
Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster admits they missed the cutting edge of Guti after last night's 0-0 draw in Greece against Champions League rivals Olympiacos.
He said: "There were situations when I went looking for the blonde on the field to make the difference, but it wasn't to be. We were unfortunate not to have him available, but I was pleased with the way everyone played.
"Although yes, I thought we missed him."
Schuster went on: "We controlled them well and deserved to win. We kept possession, but leave two points here.
"I'm not worried about not scoring in our second consecutive game. We're capable of scoring in any game. It's no concern.
"The Olympiacos crowd is feared across Europe because of the atmosphere they create. But I believed we silenced them tonight because of the way we played."

bad boy guti goes on a spending spree
Real Madrid's Guti spent £200,000 in one hour
November 12, 2007
Real Madrid midfielder Guti splashed out a staggering £200,000 on new furniture in a one-hour shopping spree, it has been revealed.
French TV reports say Guti and soon-to-be wife Arantxa de Benito travelled to Monaco to purchase furniture for their new mansion, which is being built in Ibiza.
It's been suggested Guti is picking up the slack from former teammate David Beckham as he lavishes money on his new gaffe, which will include a spa, swimming pool, discotheque and bar.

Guti: Schuster my best connection with Real Madrid coach November 20, 2007
Guti is feeling the best about his relationship with Real Madrid's head coach for some time.
Acknowledging that Bernd Schuster was his hero as he grew up supporting Real, Guti said: "The connection with him is the best and also is the support.
"If I feel I've had a bad game, he still is supportive. I've never had that before."
Guti also insisted he's never had a problem with Real president Ramon Calderon, who last season described the midfielder as a player who had never fulfilled his potential.
"At the time I gave it no importance and I still don't. Our relationship has always been good and I am grateful to him that I have renewed my contract.
"Not all youth squad players have been able to stay eleven years at Real Madrid."
i have to agree with this guti isnt playing at his best yet but he getting there, he hasnt played this well since back when the strike force was raul and morientes and guti right behind them

Guti leaves Real Madrid sports chief Mijatovic upset
November 24, 2007
Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic was angry with midfielder Guti after his dismissal in last night's 1-1 draw at Real Murcia.
Robinho saw his opener cancelled out by Murcia midfielder Enrique De Lucas before Guti was dismissed for lashing out at Cesar Arzo.
Mijatovic said afterwards: "Guti cannot react like that any longer, not at such crucial moments in a game. But it's something that normally happens.
"We did well enough in the first-half, but couldn't maintain the pace in the second. I believe fatigue was a factor after international week."
Real coach Bernd Schuster also said: "It is not a special subject. Guti has behaved very well until now. He never has been in danger of getting sent-off. His attitude today has surprised me a lot, but what are you going to do?
"We are not going to overstate this. After the second or third time it happens, we will have to think about it, but this is the first time."
wtf guti come on, usually your the guy who smartly gets people to lash out at you

Real Madrid's Guti: I'm tired of getting kicked
November 25, 2007
Real Madrid midfielder Guti admits his "attitude was wrong" after he was sent-off in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Murcia.
Guti was shown a red card for lashing out and he said: "I've thought about it a lot. I know my attitude was wrong. I lost my temper and I ask the fans, the coach and my teammates to forgive me.
"I am a hot-blooded player and always try to do my best so Real Madrid wins. I was provoked and I shouldn't have hit out.
"I know that it is not an excuse and what I am going to say is no justification. But sometimes you get tired of being the one that receives all the kicks and all the blows, when no-one does anything about it. I am tired of that.
"The tackle that I received was not the first bad one I had without the player getting a yellow card and at such a moment, you can understand why something can happen."
i can understand this, and its true guti gets some harch tackles sometimes and a yellow is the most any of them get

Real Madrid management split over Guti fine
November 26, 2007
Real Madrid management are split over action to take against Guti for his dismissal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Real Murcia.
Guti's sending off left Real president Ramon Calderon and sports director Pedja Mijatovic fuming and both powerbrokers want the midfielder fined, says El Mundo Deportivo.
However, just as he stood up for Robinho, coach Bernd Schuster is insisting Guti be left alone. Last week, Schuster claimed "success" after choosing not to fine Robinho after he returned late from international duty with Brazil earlier this season.
guti's red card is no reason for why they drew the match so i say no fine

This guy is just phenomenal, i think he learnt a lot from being alongside figo and zidane, he is unbelievable, finally this season they are talking about him, the press, fans everybody were ignoring him, how many goals did he assist this season, he is leading the list with 14 assists!!!
Hala Madrid!

Thats right, and NT would benefit a lot from getting guti back.
I think the only bad thing about guti is the he loses his temper quickly, and do some horrible tackles, if he just controls that, he will be almost perfect.
Lance Knight
04-11-2008, 06:01 PM
i wouldnt say he loses his temper quickly if anything i would say its the other way around, its just seems that way,
guti knows how to trick and provoke other players and quite ofter he gets foul, i would say in the history of madrid is he is the most fouled player, but sometimes those guys over do it and he gets angry, qutie understandable, thats why cappello used to bring him on mostly 2nd halves last season, guti can really get the team going when things are down
realmadrid289
04-12-2008, 08:44 PM
totally agreed on what u said
he gets fouled a lot of times, i think he took figo's place, i remember that year when figo was the most guy to conceed fouls in the champions league
another problem by guti is the mistakes he does in midfield, sometimes they are really embarrasing, but as an overall, and from my point of view, he is the best realmadrid player

Calderon: Guti will sign his lifetime Real Madrid deal
April 14, 2008
Real Madrid president insists Guti will soon sign his new contract.
Guti has agreed terms over a new three-year deal, which will also include a clause in the final year that it will continue to be renewed for 12 months depending on the completion of a set number of games.
"Guti will renew for life with Real Madrid very soon, what's happened is that he is lazy and we have not had time to sign the contract, but I've agreed it with him and it is closed," assured Calderon.
