Last night in the UK the BBC did a program about bungs in football. I have said on here before that i strongly believe that the BBC quite often have a different agenda with there programs. They insinuated that they had found wide spread corruption in football but they failed to cleany implicate any one person except for a couple of agents, but we already knew that some of them are on the take. As a result of the program Sam Alrdyce and several others are taking the BBC to court for liable, thoughts please.

Im sorry i should have made myself more clear for people not familier with our slang terms. It is a backhander that a players agent will pay to a manager or a scout to allow a deal to go threw.

Personally, I reckon it's more than likely to be true. George Graham was found guilty of taking bungs previously and the current Aberdeen manager, Jimmy Calderwood, has openly admitted that he has been offered them before (although, it has be said, he says he never accepted and told the agents to f**k off).

I think what the programme has shown is the amount of "tapping" going on. Namely, a player is currently contracted to one club when another comes in and says "if you don't renew your contract with your current club, then we'll sign you for X amount of money when you're a free agent or if you slap in a transfer request."

This gives clubs with the financial clout of Chelsea, Real Madrid etc an unfair advantage when they can just come in and swipe players from some of the smaller teams.
