I am a single parent and struggling to make ends meet financially...Do you think the law of the land should force the absent parent to pay up?

I think the absent parent should cough up towards the cost of rearing children. Some parents don't pay because they are not allowed to see their children and i also agree with this. Withold any payments until it is agreed that you can see your children is the answer. If you are not letting your ex partner see the kids then i doubt you will get any money of them.If the ex partner doesn't want to bother with the kids they should be made to pay up.

I think whom ever gets the kid/s should pay everything and thats that. You dont want to pay hand the kid over to the other parent.
