ive got a friend who was pulled over at 124 mph when i was in the car. now the ticket says 100 and the cop is telling the court it was 110. my friend decided to appeal for 85 mph. ive got to go to court and speak on his behalf. we are saying that we never went 5 mph over what the flow of traffic was doing which we are saying was 80. being 17, both of us i dont know what the court will think.

what are the chances that this will work, anybody have any experiences like this?

My advice is next time to slap upside the head your friend thats driving first because he was speeding and endangering not only his life but naturally yours as well. Secondly he should just pay the fine and learn his lesson.

You should be dealt with the full force of the law and I hope your friend gets a long jail sentnece for being so irresponsible...Saying that all of the traffic was going that fast is futile...The law says you were breaking it and tough luck. It is like when a fisherman casts his net into fish infested waters hoping for a catch...Some end up on my dinner plate and some swim free...Stop crying.

Well, what's the amount on the ticket?

In here, if you appeal in the court, whatever the reason.. They reduce the ticket in half

The most important thing is to show up

not sure they are doing that for him, and i dont think that they will reduce it as 100 mph is a felony. unless they believe us

if the cop really wanted to f#$k them he would have said the ACTUAL speed of 124mph! not 100 or 110. Also From what I understand you usually get arrested if caught going over 100mph since that's felony reckless driving. Did your friend get arrested?

Also where you driving? if your lets say driving in AZ or another desert type highway so that could've been a factor as to why you guys were going 124 mph. GOOD LUCK I hope your friend learns his lesson and SLOOOOOWS DOOOOOWN!!!!

Sure sounds you and your friends are nothing good. I mean, you go over 124 and then wonder why the cop treats you like scum? I mean, you guys are 17 and already hooligans and then you wonder why England has the highest micro ciminality in the world... with these individuals? No wonder!

Just admit your crime and deal with the consequences. Your friend will probably get some community service and his license might be revoked.

no because they are young, dumb and drove a car at about 124 kph / 78mph (which is NOTHING here in the states) or 124mph / 200 kph!!

It don't matter man, I was clocked at 90 mph while 80 mph is considered a felony here and they reduced my ticket just because I had a clean record and of course, I appeared (not appealed) in court. Does your friend have a clean record? It makes a lot of difference

They have so many cases like that, they probably won't pay much attention to your story

make an excuse not to show up to court, and to redate the timing.

therefore the officer doesnt get paid for showing up, and if ur lucky he wont show up forgetting the ticket and you win the case.

only think about this if you were actually unjustfuly caught by them.

Don't make excuses for this punk and how he can evade the law...He did the crime and now should do the time...If it were up to me I would amputate his hands so that he couldn't drive that fast again or get upto any other bad things.

RM7, why are you telling a rotten soul how to cheat the law? I know that where you come from its normal but... in America its not.

Of course not because they are English you banned moron, but becaause they are stupid as they come. This moron thinks that he was unlucky and that the cop had to fill his quota... WTF? You were going 124 moron! :boo:
