Very close to capellos prefered formation in juve. The problem here is our lack of quality wingers.
I heard that Cassano has played left winger however ive never seen it.
Robinho could be reschooled for that position.
Never been too impressed with Becks, however things could change when pairing up with RVN

I would like them to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2. Obviously Casillas in net. The centre backs would be solid together. Cicinho and R.Carlos could help out in attack as usual. The midfield I would change depending on the game. If we wanted to play an attacking game, I would have Robinho behind Ronaldo and Nistelrooy/Raul. That way, he could move about where he wanted and he's very deadly like that like he showed in the World Cup. He could also provide for the two up front. Raul could also fill this position. Then have Cassano, Emerson/Diarra and Beckham just behind him. In a more defensive formation, I would have Robinho on the left, Emerson and Diarra as defensive midfielders and Beckham on the right.

Emerson is Capellos darling and will never be benched.
Diarra was Capellos no1 priority signing meaning he probably wont bench him.
So my bet is that he will play both

until robinho builds some strenght he would always be pushed around by the defenders, beckham was the one of the only players performing last season constiently and u guys want to bench him?
Ronaldo is also battling with injuries right now, even though how minor he still wouldnt be at 100%
in the preseason so far Cappello has been using Raul and cassano to train for the playmaker spot, so stop putting him on the wings its insane
like i said before, we cant always play with a 2 DMs at times yes, maybe 60-70% of the time, but certainly not all the time
plus about Emerson being cappello's darling, no matter how that may be he still would get tired, and need a rest hear and there, its not like he going to start all the time,
guys this is not some Fifa or Winning Eleven game, this is real life, and also a good rotation helps to keep all the players in form and thier morales high

2 DM wont work in spain!!!????? and why is that? Juve practiced some of the most efficient soccer games with that formation....

dont get me wrong here, there both amazin players and will probably form a good pairing.

But, what im saying is that in the beginning, this could be a shaky season. so many new players, i just hope there gelling well during pre-season.

Raul pushed forward and to the middle and made some great passing combinations with cassano throughout the first half. Raul missed three goals which atleast one should have been put away,first he made a nice run and a great through pass from cassano saw him one on one with the goalie but moveing away from the goal so he had to turn and shoot and the goalie made a good save, second, emerson sent a great cross over the defence who played an offside trap, raul beat it and tried to head the ball over the goalie but missed terribly, and finally when carlos took a hard shot it fell to raul and with the d moved up he was one on one with the goalie but missed the goal completely/. However overall he played well connecting the middle with the forwards. Cassano had a great assist with the first goal where rvn finished very well. Emerson played well and diarra made a few passing errors but still covered the middle well. Beckham was in my opinion the worst player, apart from a few great croses, he looked lost coujldnt carry the ball or control it. BUt i think he will be very useful with his crosses to raul and rvn. The second goal came from a cross from salgado where rvn just touched with his thigh into the goal. The d played well with carlos continuing with teh same play, cannavaro was great and salgado might have been the player of the game. Ramos made 1 or 2 mistakes one where salgado had to make a saving slide tackle but hopefully cannavaro can cover ramos. Casillas wasnt tested except once where on a corner he came out of his line terribly but the anderlecht forward couldnt hjead on to goal. Basically the attack came from the left with carlos raul and cassano linking up very well and rvn finished both goals well.

IN the second half the game became jumpbled, the subs started of with i believe robinho in for cassano, cicinho in for salgado and woodgate for cannavaro and diego lopez in for casillas. The attack looked more lost because cassano was out and beckham still remained ineffective. Robinho was basically the only source of attack but he was also a little in effective and soon anderlecht started attacking more and the game became more balanced. MOre subs came on, baptista for rvn mejia for raul, javi garcia(contining to play with the A team) for diarra, Raul Bravo for Beckham. They finally scored a goal when cicinho got the ball from the attackers and tried to run with it but quickly lost the ball and with the attacker on the left wide open with cicinho a little ahead of him, the guy with the ball passed it to him and then became like 4 on 3 which lead to a great shot which diego lopez saved brilliantly but then fell to another forward who had a quick volley which was unstoppable.

That would be MY ideal formation.

a midfield with diarra, emerson, and beckham is more than capable of holding down a well balanced defense/attack.

with raul, robinho supporting RVN, things look set.

cassano off the bench 1st, then ronaldo if needed.
Julio baptista can come in for raul if he isnt playing well.

well i was reading an interview with capello and he said the following points:
Gk- Casillas is the goalkeeper it would be impossible to play diego lopez but he is happy with both goalies and they are world class.
Cicinho- Cicinho was bought as winger, and he said that in the preseason cicinho defending which only confirms that cicinho is a winger.
Ronaldo- Ronaldo is a star player who will play with rvn which in his opinion create the best attack.
GUti- he said guti is extremely important and might get more playing time without zidane.
