Torino back in for Inter Milan striker Recoba
ugust 20, 2006
Torino president Urbano Cairo spoke with Inter Milan supremo Massimo Moratti on Friday about the availability of Alvaro Recoba.
Cairo hasn't given up on trying to sign Recoba, who is also wanted by Catania, and was encouraged by Moratti, who admitted the player is available.
Along with Recoba, Cairo also asked about young defender Marco Andreolli, but Moratti insists the player is not for sale.

Moratti discusses Inter Milan future with Recoba
August 22, 2006
Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti will spend today in talks with Alvaro Recoba and his agent about the Uruguayan's future.
Moratti has offers from Torino and Sampdoria for the attacker and will discuss a loan move with Recoba over lunch today.
Recoba knows he'll see little action this season at Inter and stated last week he would consider his future at the San Siro in December should he be left in the stands for the first-half of the campaign.
An announcement about Recoba's situation is anticipated for this evening.

It looks as though Martins is as good as gone with a nice ten million pounds coming our way so Id say Recoba is staying where he is.

well Recoba leave will be a better option than Adriano.Recoba is older and non useful now in the team so if he go we have Adriano,Ibrahimovic,Crespo and Cruz.

Inter Milan's Recoba rejects Torino
August 23, 2006
Torino have failed in a bid for Inter Milan striker Alvaro Recoba.
Recoba was presented the offer yesterday during talks with Inter patron Massimo Moratti, but rejected the proposal.
Meanwhile, Torino are seeking talks over a co-ownership deal for AC Milan midfielder Pasquale Foggia.

But I'm sure mancini would prefer five strikers to four. This is going to be a busy campaign for Inter, going on all three competitions. Remember the troubles we had last season when it was only cruz who was guranteed to play for Inter and everyone else injured or on international duties?
BTW anyone know the status of Obinna that other nigerian wunderkid? Is he still in a coownership deal with inter?

But he could be a good super-sub for inter if we need him to change the style of attack

It would ve been much better if Recoba had been sacrificed... he jkust hasn't worked out for us, and he is talented enough to make his mark at a club where he plays regularily.... its ain't gonna happen at Inter with Ibra coming in....
pretty much yea, and if anything martins could stay now

I guess the biggest reason for Recoba not wanting to leave is obviously money. No one but Moratti can offer him so incredible wages...
I just knew that he wasn't going anywhere. Moratti loves this guy, and I can't really understood why. Sure he has the skills...but when ever did he have a good season? Then again, I guess he can still deliver against small teams - against good defenders he becomes the invisible man.

Mancini has already stated that he wants 5 strikers. Recoba should therefore stay. He can also be very useful in a 4-3-3 as a flanked forward.

well on the positive side, we never have to be frustrated again because of Mancini picking Martins over Recoba. What a waste of two years. Recoba still isn't going to play, but at least it'll be someone of quality like Zlatan taking his place instead.

...It seems that the only problem in Inter is Adriano...his behaviour after the substitution in the Supper Coppa was outrageous and he made Moratti to think twice wether giving him another whole season to convince everyone and regain his Mental Superiority...he was so confident once...you thought that he could do anything that he thinks of...like Ronaldinho...now this is someone else...an Angry and frustrated man, with a destructive influence on the team...i mean it has to be hard for him when he saw Inter overturn the match right after he left the pitch...it is so demoralising and hard to digest...his future floats in the Air...as it was obvious that with Crespo and Ibra Inter is brilliant...it has to be dificuld for him...he didnt had one match...but whole season actually...but i am sad for him...

they said it was out of anger that he didnt had a good game not cause of the substitution but any way it was really impolite and really Adriano is starting 2 be a pain in the ass for me myself i dunno will he be back or will he leave and shine in another place he is really strange

...it will be hard for us to see him leave Inter...Moratti said that he has faith in him...but when he sold Crespo he said the same......i mean Ronaldo is 30 years old...

It would be so odd to throw away a player who dtayed all those years at Inter and specialy in the hard days, JZ, Cordoba, Toldo, Recoba cant leave Inter.. they are a big example of loyalty... it`s not right to think about let anyone of them leave.

Moratti's love 2 him and his love 2 Inter may be the only reasons he is in Inter now
