It is pretty obvious now that he is going to be confirmed within the next few days, possibly sooner. Roma are apparently getting him for 4 million in a co-ownership deal. At least we will still own half of him. But there is not even an option allowing us to sign Mancini. Pizarro could have been useful this season. I don't know what Mancini is thinking. We are going to be very thin in the central midfield area. Just two injuries and we are down to Stankovic and Dacourt, with Solari or Cesar having to come into the left wing:worried: .
Oba will be out very soon also. 10 million will help refill the bank balance a bit:D.

Well, I'd rather we just keep Pizarro than receive a small sum like that, even if it is just co-ownership. I just don't see the point of it.. After this sale, Inter may finally fulfil my prophecy and sign Fiore...

this i good we didn't sell him for such low amount of money and now i'm feelin Inter are using every option 2 gain from every player we need 2 sell like just imagine if Roma needed him that much i'm sure they wont pay so much but we could have got Mancini's services.
we must save the shape of the 4 in CM in Vieira,Cambiasso and Dacourt with Pizarro replacements and Pizarro may take a starting role in certain matches.

Nah, Inter accepted Roma's modest offer. The transfer delayed because Pizarro wasn't convinced by Roma and thought he might prefer to stay at Inter. I think this transfer is utterly pointless unless Inter just have something else in mind. I know Moratti speaks of balancing the books, but this sort of transfer fee isn't going to achieve that.

4 million
What is Moratti thinking about? Does Pizzarro get extremely big wages or something...it's absurd. We should sell Martins and that's it. Many teams in EPL are still looking for reinforcements and their league starts this weekend.

Why have helped strenghten Roma's squad. There one of our main rivals. At least its co ownershjip so he might return. So it looks like the predictable 4-4-2 again.:sad:

thye should have tired and add in a play cluase
which is when roma plays inter, and they field Pizarro they would have to pay inter a fee. Real did this with Atlethico Madrid on the Jurado deal, if A.Madrid plays him they have to pay us 700'000

well it's a co ownership and i read that Amantino Mancini is the biggest part of the deal as if Roma sign Esposito this season we will get Mancini directly and if they dont we may get him next season and if we dont we will get Pizarro back

Sensi family convinced me about Roma - Pizarro August 20, 2006
New Roma signing David Pizarro has explained his change-of-heart after initially deciding to stay at Inter Milan on Friday.
"It's not easy to leave a club like Inter and Roberto Mancini tried to keep me, but the passion of the Sensi family convinced me to come here," said Pizarro.
The £4m co-ownership deal had originally been struck earlier this week, only to sensationally collapse on Friday in an apparent dispute over wages.
Pizarro changed his mind again overnight and flew back to Rome from Spain - where Inter had been preparing for a friendly match - to finalise a four-year contract.
The Chilean could make his debut against his former teammates, as Roma take on Inter in the Italian Super Cup on August 26 at San Siro.
"I don't know if I'll be ready in time for the Super Cup, but I want to be there. If Roma can maintain the team spirit they showed last season, then they can be competitive for the Scudetto."
Pizarro was in the stands for a 0-0 friendly tie against Real Zaragoza on Saturday night, but Coach Spalletti wasn't going to get swept up by the enthusiasm of the new arrival.
"To be on a par with Inter and Milan, we need many signings and they'd have to be expensive. This transfer doesn't change our ambitions for this term," warned the tactician.
"Pizarro has come and can give us a great helping hand, as he has characteristics our team needs. He had said he wasn't going to move, then called to tell us he had changed his mind. It took some good sense from the club to lay out the money so we could bring him here."
