Bosnia played a basketball game only 2 days before this one and the players complained that they were heavy legged even before the game started. There were a few key players missing. I expected us to get pounded, but it was a decent result. We have a decent future in basketball. Of course Serbia is world class in basketball so I'm proud we actually had 89 points on them, :). Even though it wasn't enough.
Hey, last year my high school basketball team won this game 74-6 LOL!!!
Serbia sure got deep into using everybody on the bench haha.. Nothing unexpected about that result though even though BiH does have some promising talent.

No excuses Nermin.
Yes, Bosnia did play a game before this one a few days before this one.
But then again if we used that as an excuse then Serbia could have a really great excuse because they played with Turkey-who's one of the top teams in Europe(Hedo-Okur) and they smashed them in all three games in three consecutive days! Then a couple days later they come and play us and beat us. So, there is really no excuse for that matter. Missing players? They are only missing Stojakovic, Pavlovic, Milicic, Radmanovic, Jaric, among others just from NBA. Then, Dragicevic, Radujlica, and Macvan. None of our players are even close to that talent. But like I said.....We put up one hell of a fight and i'm glad that our basketball is finally rising up unlike the last 15 years =/
We have a lot of promising players that could become heroes for clubs in Europe. I don't we have players ready for NBA yet. The mentality to go over there is just way too hard to handle. Hopefully we can make some European stars :)
I'd really like to see what will become of Dedovic and Kikanovic. :)

But yeah, we have a great future, though nothing compared to Serbia of course, :).

They were missing Vladimir Dasic who is without a doubt their best player besides Pekovic. They were missing Sekulic as well.
But all in all, decent result. I just saw that Pekovic played so it was their first team :)...Even though it's not something special to beat Montenegro but it gives us a good shot at qualifying for EC 09 :)
Hopefully the inexperience doesn't play a factor.

Beating Montenegro isn't big Seljak...
but Dedovic really is a difference. The Serbia squad last week against BiH, I think we could actually tie them with Hukic, Dedovic, and Bremer playing (not Serbia's best players, but the ones that played last week).

This is the 2010 NBA mock draft.
http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2010
As you can see Nihad Djedovic is projected to be the 12th pick in the 2nd rd. Also Zvezda player Elemedin Kikanovic is projected to go 25th in the 2nd rd.
Serbia Marko Keselj is projected to go 25th in 1st rd.
I think Nihad Djedovic has a big chance to be the first Bosnian player in the NBA. I'm not sure about Kikanovic though. I just thoght I would post this since it has something to do with BiH Kosarka.

U petom kolu košarkaši BiH u srijedu gostuju u Izraelu.
Rezultati četvrtog kola
BiH - Češka 95:79
Velika Britanija - Izrael 96:86
Tabela:
1. Velika Britanija 4 3 1 357:330 7
2. BiH 4 2 2 302:302 6
3. Češka 4 2 2 308:308 6
4. Izrael 4 1 3 329:356 5

our entire team except Ikonic sucks (and maybe Djedovic doesn't suck but that fuker together with Jazvin, Opacak, Bremer and few other guys cost us the game in Israel)
Bremer doesn't belong on our team he should be let go and the rest (excluding Ikonic and maybe Djedovic) should be executed - Bajramovic should be crucified and then he should be torched
the team has no discipline or any idea on the offensive end
on defense we were always lethargic and careless
worst game of the qualification has to be that game in Czech Rep. - if losing to them wasn't bad enough but the team showed no heart or effort
we gave the game away in Israel after leading we got lazy and tired started shooting threes and missing - while not playing any defense (in the 2nd half of that game we showed nothing - no heart no passion no clue on offense no experience no coaching no nothing - we simply gave the game away with quick threes and no defense)
I was probably more redundant in this post but really those players and Bajramovic did not represent us well. (It's not the fact that we lost games that we should have won that bothers me it's the lack of discipline, heart, passion and organization that bothers me - of course Bajramovic needs to take most of the blame for not kicking those players in the ass when he should have done.)
anyway now we are going into "additional qualifications" where we stand small chance against France

I agree I was watching the first Israel vs. BiH game and also happened to catch the second one against them. It honestly reminded me of a highschool basketball game, even though we won in the first won all we did was shoot up mid-twos and threes in transition, and would do cross court passes that ended up being intercepted. Our players don't stick to their game, and I honestly don't think they even have defensive plays and formations. Although I will say that I like Dzedovic, he has a bright future IMO, and I guess kikanovic can be O.K. Probably never a great or really good player even since he just uses his size to put up a basic lay-up, and that is where he gets most of his points. I really don't see a bright future in Kikanovic.

^ I hate when people say "it felt like a high school game". You should know that is an illusion you get from watching a game with such infrastructure. If the game was played in an NBA arena in front of 20,000 fans with the same players, you would have a totally different opinion about this. Any team in Europe would destroy a high school team ...

Dude don't get your panties in a bunch, did I say that the team was high-school calibre team? I wasn't commenting on the stadium or the number of fans, but on the on the play itself. Did you watch the BiH-Israel game? It lacked fundamentals, any defensive play, and they didn't really run any play or strategy, they just winged it. The passes were high-risk ones, the shoots were in transition, they never even set their feet or look for the extra pass and it was an overall sloppy preformance.

Meaning UK are a 2 man team. Also JR Bremner sucks and should go back to the Bronx where he belongs.

I really like Djedovic and I think he might got to the NBA, kikanovic most likely won't. Djedovic is a good scorer, good dribber, and for a guard a good rebounder. He's atheletic and plays that aggressive american style of basketball and may have a future in the NBA.

^So what Kikanovic cannot get in to the NBA - You know how hard it is to get into the NBA - I do not even think Djedovic will go there as he is too skinny for the big Afro-American 230lbs + players that are in the NBA.
At least Kikanovic, Jazvin, Teletovic, Djedovic play in some good teams and tend to make alot of baskets.
And they all make baskets for our country Bosnia and Herzegovina meaning they are much better Bosnians then you will ever be!
DinoMostarac
09-21-2008, 07:25 PM
Dude he's a guard not a foward. He doesn't need to be strong nor bulky, that's not his game, he needs to be finese, quick, and athletic. Also please name me a guard who is 230 pounds.
"And they all make baskets for our country Bosnia and Herzegovina meaning they are much better Bosnians then you will ever be!" -That was a completely unwarrented and uncalled for. Why do you randomly take jabs at people? Here we are talking about basketball and you say some thing like that, seriously dude what's wrong with you? Can't you talk like a human being?
Also there's nothing wrong with Kikanovic not playing in the NBA, who said there was? I was just responding to your comment "@Dino: Kikanovic and Djedovic are our 2 biggest prospects - Djedovic could possibley get to NBA." and then adding on to it, nothing more.
