Can Gretna make it to the SPL this year?? Anybody think so? They have had a tremondous rise in the past few seasons....... can they complete it?

i think gretna can get through to the SPL this year and they will put celtic, rangers, hibernian and hearts to th test

I hope so, they have good financial backing...... yet their stadium is too small & ill-equipped to compete with the big boys yet.

Gretna is certainly doing good so far this year 4-0-0 (13 GF 2 GA) should be easily promoted.

Derry is a good squad Ulster, obviously not celtic-ranger quality but they are playign well in UEFA this eyar.

Gretna will defenatly make it through into the SPL but then they will be about 6 or 7th but hopefully they will come 1st

it's all about the money(look at Hearts resurgence) & Gretna has decent financial backing so you never know

To be honest Ulster, I'm not sure Gretna will get out of Div 1 this year. St Johnstone aren't doing to bad and Gretna are realising that Div 1 is a lot harder than 2 or 3. It's probably the hardest league to get out of in Scotland.
If they do get promoted, they'd be a bottom 6 side. Their surprise package status would evaporate and teams would cotton on to their style of play.

Yes, it may just be wishful thinking on my part....... I just want to see an exciting race in the SPL for once!!
