Safaxien (Tunisia) vs El Ahly (Egypt)
In Tunisia Safaxien home land was the 1st game in the Group stage and in this game Safaxien will have 2 host 2005/2006 African Champions El Ahly in a very difficult game.
E l Ahly came 2 Tunisia after 2 weeks camp in France which they ended on wednesday witha Friendly game against PSG Paris Saint German which end in a 1 - 1 draw. After the blow up injury of Ahly's Left Winger the Angolan national player Gilberto 6 Months ago who missed the World Cup and also his substitute the Egyptian Confederation's cup Winner Mohamed Abdel Wahab Ahly had 2 sign a new Left Winger 2 take their place and it was Rivals Zamalek Left Winger Tarik El saeed.Ahly entered the game with also the absence of their Key player the right winger Mohamed Barakat so they started with Islam El Shater 2 take his place.
Ahly team was completely tired of last season and the players had a rest for no longer than 3 weeks so it was completely clear that they were tired.
Safaxien took this point as an advantage and gave no chance for Ahly and compressed them in their midfield for 45 minutes of missed chances and open shots and in the only added minute of the 1st half and from a great cross from the former Tunisian national player Anis Bo Jilban the centre back Issam Mardessi find him self alone in the boz and headed the ball into the net 2 give Safaxien the lead before goin 2 the locker rooms.
Automatically and as Champions El Ahly had 2 get into the second half quickly 2 get back into the score but unfortunatly in the 1st minutes of the 2nd half Angolian Striker Amado Flavio the scorer against Iran in the World Cup was injured and then Hossam Ashour took his place, also Islam el Shater weak performance lead 2 be substituted by new Ahly signing Ahmed Sedik who showed great skills and big change in the Right side of Ahly but all Ahly chances were stopped by the solid defence and the Goal keeper and the 90 minutes ended 2 stop Ahly biggest Record with 56 unbeaten games in Africa and in Egypt with their first loss in their first game of the group stage.

In the second Group 2003/2004 and 2004/2005 champions Enyemba surprisingly beat Ghana giants Hears of Oak in their home land 2 - 0 inorded 2 inform all the teams that Enyemba will be one hell of a team in this tournament.Ekene Emigo scored first for Enyemba and then by an own goal Kwabena Boafo doubled the score.
Notice that last year Enyemba were on a 21 home wins streak untill Egyptian Ahly beat them in Nigeria 1 - 0.
