Portugal has some great players, but I think Deco is essential in the squad. He has a great talent and is the team's brain.

beirario, I've made this thread because every1 just talks about c.ronaldo, and I'm curious about what every1 (besides portuguese fans) think about Deco. By my point of view, the most important player in the portuguese game. Cheers

P.s.: I love Ronaldo's way of playing, he might be overconfident on his skills and make mistakes, but when he makes it right is just delicious to watch.

Both costinha and maniche, and i'm really sorry that andrade didn't make it to wc. I think we have a consistent team.

I like costinha very much, but in the defense move.... he's very balanced, great positional sense, gives the team stability.

On the other hand he is VERY limited in offense: he can not make a pass over 10mtrs, the other players avoid every time they can passing him the ball... the games turns slow when the ball is in the central area... fortunally we have good and fast paced wingers.

I think the whole naturalization debate has less relavence when you're talking about brazil and portugal. I mean brazil to holland is a pretty big jump/difference. Most portuguese/brazilians would be comfortable in either country because of the similar cultures and language.
