Mexico's through, regardless of the Portugal-Mexico match result. Even if I'd have liked to believe Angola can still pass, I don't expect them to be able to score 3 on Iran without suffering a single one, nor Mexico to go down without scoring once.

You, however, seem too dense to comprehend the opposite can happen as well, especially since Mexico will be forced to overextend itself if they want first place in D, meaning their tough 5-man defense won't get as much support from its midfield as it's used to. That's why I said Portugal has a better chance to win this match than Mexico. If they were to meet in the knock-out fase, or Portugal needed the win to go through, it'd be a different story and much harder match to predict.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. I earn my living by working with video games. Great company and awesome pay... I work with various people from different parts of the world. Not for one second do I think that Mexicans are better than this, nor that Japanese are better than Mexicans. You guys have to lighten up on the insults. I can also see that the media over rates and definetely is Latino bias. But not all of us think like the rest.

If Mexico was to lose to Portugal and Angola beats Iran by the required amount of goals... I will be sad yes, but also happy for Angola because it will mean a lot to their people. I would expect that you would be here in seconds rubbing it in our faces and dancing for joy that the Mexican team lost. However, if your team lost, you would certainly disappear for a while or perhaps come up with an excuse. It sucks that four years of work are determined in a month. If life was like that.. I would be in trouble!

Unam, I don't think portuguese fans look down on mexicans, I can't even find a reason to do so. 'Tho I think everything started with a post saying that Portugal wouldn't make past group stage because Portugal only won 1-0 against angola and Mexico would easily win the group, after that someone said Portugal would beat Mexico for sure, and then someone said Mexico would beat Portugal for sure, etc etc... and all ended in some guys insulting others. When Mexico only managed a draw, we all (at least me) felt like we could go and say "We're done because we won 1-0, how 'bout u guys that got a 0-0?" It's stupid, I know, even more because it all started with a brazilian guy post.

There were several portuguese fans protesting after the match with angola, nobody was satisfied with performance. I think against Iran we did pretty well, with a ball possession of 60+ and 2 goals.

For the so called "real" teams, I can't see why Holland is more real than Portugal (or Mexico) the last 3 games Portugal played with holland finished:

-Holland 0-2 Portugal WC 2002 Qualification
-Portugal 2-2 Holland WC 2002 Qualification (I think Holland had to win to go to wc 2002, not sure)
-Portugal 2-1 Holland (Portugal to the Euro cup Final)
