Congratulations Ecuador on their FIRST EVER qualification from the group stage in a world cup. I am sure the country is very happy!
Just don't expect to win any more games from now on =) To begin with a loss against Germany and then another loss vs. England.
Congrats though!

I think that they will give a lot of work to Germany and other teams. I won't be surprised with a victory of Equador against Germany:p

Ecuador has gotten better results vs Poland and better results vs Costa Rica than germany. And if you don't beat them ( if you tie ), then you'll be facing england in the round of 16.
Congrats to Ecuador and now no one can blame altitude as an excuse for winning these matches in Germany.

we could blame the quality of the two opponents, that was more than miserable.
But Ecuador showed good football themselves. And this is what counts.
they deserved it anyway you slice it

Like I said, getting pounded by Germany 3 vs 0 was just the beginning. The next time will be a loss versus England. I predict something like 4 vs 0.
Adios amigos, was good while it lasted!!

Congrats for moving on. I don't think they make it past the round of 16, but they did well anyway.

True, weak teams that aren't predicted to achieve anything often give all they have at the beggining. Like Senegal in '02, or many teams that were about to be 3rd or 4th in the group in this world cup.
Ecuador is tired, won't regain it's power until the round of 16. I predict that it will be a high score victory for the 1st place of group B, probably England.

Yeah we'll see how they do next round with their starters.

England's bench can beat the crap out of Ecuador.

i agree! ecuador is defintely a team to watch out for! but if australia beats croatia to get out of group f, i think they are also good enough to cause some surprises. i'm still rooting for my fellow croats though!!!!

please!
england couldnt put 1 on there own versus paraguay and had to use the giant to man handle some poor carribean guy to score with 2 minutes left.
they played sweden and did good for 45 minutes but sucked the rest.
England are beatable.
should be a close match.
well see how Ecuador does with all our main starters back and with an extra day of rest;)
Congrats!
I think Ecuador could do pretty good in the next stages.

I did show a lot of encouragement. But lets not kid ourselves, they are done.

All the English commentators that I've had to listen completely dismiss Ecuador's potential. I would love it if Ecuador were to pull off a win against England, but frankly it's not something that I am expecting.

Another prophetic thread. Yeguador is done.
