There is only a little chance for our guys to win and prolong chances to advace to the next round. Boring? There were a few chances for both teams to score in the first half. The second half, mainly Germany got all the chances to score. It went down to the wire and Germany nailed in stoppage time. Germany may have not had a great offensive game, but they improved their defense vastly from the first game.

If this wasn't a great game, nothing was. As much as I would've loved if Germany won 5-0, that wouldn't have made it a great game. A great game is when both teams play well. That's what happened here. German put up a great offensive strike in the second half, and Poland's defense held up well. Finally, Germany's offensive overcame Poland's defense with just enough time to win the game.

No, hopes are not gone. Costa Rica is not much worse then equador, and they have all chanses to win. But maybe you are right.... Equador also have 2 goal advantage, so poland need to crush Costa rica next time

It was a breakdown on the Polish defense to even let him get through for that cross and not be there to simply kick it off to the side. Goal shouldnt have happened. Poland should have played harder knowing they were in the 2nd minute of a 3 minute stoppage time. Very surprised they had to have known the cross was going to come to that striker as he was the only German even around. Goalie could have gotten out also I think he actually had a chance to get to that cross because it didnt exactly come in like a bullet it was more like a lofty shot. He could have easily gotten to the ball at the same time as the strikers shot. Most likely it would have deflected away from the net instead he just let him strike it. Never a good idea from that distance

The only other team Germany has played on this WC is Costa Rica, which they showed very weak in the defense ( Germany ).

Poland were the only one of the horrible teams in this WC that didn't play defensive (against Germany they couldn't). Perhaps Ukraine is the second, but even if they aren't bad like Poland, they conceeded 4 ...

Imo that's why Germany looked that good (but let's not exaggerate!). The opponent was crap (like Costa Rica!) and wanted to play themselves.

Where they were hacking or fouling at this WC? They didnt even get one yellow card in the first game. Not like the others who already got some red. And they didnt pull someones hair like Englands Crouch or ruined someones nose like the Italians today.

And what makes them worse than England, Sweden, France, Czech, Italy or Holland? They all dont look that far ahead of the German side so far. Okay, compared to Argentina they dont look good, but what team would actually look good vs Argentina?
