Well our guys as usual slipped and messed up at the end. Zahovic of a controversial free kick in the 92nd minute tied it Savo scored for us in the 34th minute. I am very dissapointed but what can you do, a draw is still a very good result for us.

We outplayed them and outclassed them. Had we converted on one of the 600 chances we had in the second half we would have won. With this play we do not belong in the World Cup.

This result is nice for the Russians and the Swiss.
I think we will fight for the second place with the Swiss.
I would like Portugal to win over Holland to put them out. Cos if we get the second place will never find a seriuod opponent exept England.

I watched the game and we were far superior than Slovenia. We had so many chances, it was unbelievable ... Savo missed a 100% goal, when it was only the keeper and him. These are two wasted points, and a very, very lucky Slovenian side.

LJUBLJANA, March 28 (Reuters)(DS) - Slovenia salvaged a 1-1 draw
against Yugoslavia in their World Cup group one qualifier on
Wednesday thanks to a 25-metre free-kick in injury time from
their top scorer Zlatko Zahovic.
That gave Slovenia a share of the points after Savo
Milosevic -- who ended the night in hospital -- had given
Yugoslavia a 32nd minute lead, but they slipped down from second
to third place as a result of the draw.
Russia lead the standings with 10 points, followed by
Switzerland (8), Slovenia (7) and Yugoslavia (5).
Unlike their epic, thrilling 3-3 draw in Euro 2000 wich saw
Yugoslavia came back from 0-3 down with 23 minutes left to save
the game, this was a rather lacklustre one played out mainly as
a midfield stalemate.
The one moment of note in the first half came after 32
minutes when Milosevic put Yugoslavia ahead from close range.
Despite its lack of incident, it was a typically robust and
pasionate derby which saw Milosevic and Slovenian defender
Aleksander Knavs concussed. Both were taken to hospital
overnight for observation, but doctors said there was no fear of
any serious long-term injury to either player.
Slovenian coach Srecko Katanec said afterwards: "I am happy
with one point considering the fact that many of my players do
not play much in their clubs. I was surprised to see the
Yugoslavs play so defensively -- and so smart."
Yugoslav coach Milovan Doric said he was satisfied with the
performance of his team although they let in a last-minute
equaliser.
"Of course I am sorry about that, but I am not sad."
Slovenia was the first country to break away from former
Yugoslavia in 1991 and meetings between the two countries in
sport are still rare and considered high risk events.
Although Slovenian fans do not have a violent history
matches against Serbian teams in pre-1991 Yugoslav league always
kept Slovenian police busy.
Despite the fears by police there was no major fan violence
in the stadium nor in the streets before or after the match.

It was a great game and in 1st half you realy dominated ;) Our coach did mistake too when he put Osterc, Rudonja and Novak insted of Aèimoviè, Pavloviè and Cimerotiè!!! We overplay you in second half. But anyway you play very well even the deffense and what was a big supprise for us!!!

You didn't outplay us in the second half. We absolutely dominated you for the first 15-20 mins in the second half, and then the rest was pretty much credited to both sides. We should have had an easy win tonight...but I do agree that you at moments showed some good football, and you were dangerous over the right flank, because Stefanovic gave you too much space.

But it was obvious after our players were fouling whenever you guys had the ball in our end that you were gonna score.

Infact, I thought you guys were gonna score from the corner a little while before the free-kick

But in the end, we dominated and there is no doubts that we should have won

But, as usual, we ***k up and play stupid when it is the most important part of the game

Basically, we weren't as dangerous when Kezman went off. We need speed up front, and Milosevic , nor Kovacevic, nor Drulic are speedy forwards.

In the end, you guys showed that you can play to the end, dribble and fight and we showed that we are so stupid that we will never learn not to give up points.

We are so stupid it is amazing, the only good thing about the match was that we didn't loose

As usual I watch YUGO and hope for great things from them. As usual I am always disapointed. We should have won this match. We absolutey have to beat Russia on April 25th to stand any chance of coming in 1st Place.

Don`t forget two "hands"!!! First one should be a 11-kick, but the referee f***ed up and the second one when he showed just a yelow card. :mad: And in general he sucked. There were one or two fouls on our side that he didn`t "saw"!

I watched the game again and came to these conclusion.

We dominate over you the 1st half 25minutes. In that time we have 70% ball posetion. Your only so called chance was in 22`, others were clean offsides. Than comes the 33` and you scored. From that moment you had more chances but otherwise we were equal. The game was unatractive, mostly at the middle. So because you scored (in your only chance) we can say that you were better in first half! But generaly we were equal! You completly overplay us just in last 5minutes!

Second half we dominate for first 8 min. Your biggest chances were in 55` (Lazetiè I think) and 60` Druloviè. Than in 68´ Stefanoviè played with a hand but Jol f***ed up!!! That should be a pentalyshoot!!! :mad: :mad:
Later the onlyone who played were WE!!! We completly overplay you! And than another mistake made by Jol when Krstajiè played with hand on purpose and get only yellow!!! In that time you had came over the middle just three times and that was all! When Zahoviè scored goalman just watch the ball! It seem like he let it happend :D Last chance had you but Simeunoviè reacted well!
