Simic favours Celtic move

Dario Simic admits the chance to play in an Old Firm derby would tempt him to snub a move to Galatasaray in favour of joining Celtic.

The 32-year-old Croatia international is set to quit Milan in the close-season and has been made aware of the Parkhead side's interest.

Simic, who is currently preparing for Euro 2008 with his national side, told the Daily Record he favours a move to Glasgow over a switch to Turkey.

He said: "Galatasaray want me to join them and Celtic want me too.

"If I could choose there is no doubt I'd prefer to join Celtic.

"They are a big club with an amazing football culture and there is nothing more exciting than the prospect of playing in a Glasgow derby against Rangers.

"I am talking about the situation to Milan and hoping a move can take place.

"My desire is to play outside of Italy next season.

"I've been here a very long time with Inter and Milan and I want to taste a new league."

Not looking like he will be joining us this summer then if he has his way.

I personally would prefer a player who wants to join the club as a priority not as a back up plan should their prefered move fall through.

Carrusca was released....

arda needs to stay another season....cuz this will turn out to be like a emre incident when he left for inter...then he'll go to an english club...and then go go to one of our rivals....trus me...so its better he stays...and w8s for a bit...and then may...just maybe...allow him to go on a good offer...either italy or arsenal.....his play is sexci football..arsenal play that...he wudnt work in another team...italy play this as well...so he's can either go Inter or Juventus

If his been loaned out then id be delighted, He'd get a chance to rekindle his career and if all works out possibly play for Galatasaray again, if not Galatasaray increase his sale value and get sold..

But im not sure he has been loaned TBH! Ive read on many sites that his been released from his contract, loaning him out seems too clever of a move from the Galatasary directors..
