What the hell is wrong with our fans? Why are they always booing the anthem? I don't give a ***k if it was a "communist or Tito's" anthem... We still got it and we should be proud of it until it changes. Look at our basketball and volleyball teams. In EURO 95, the basketball team sang our anthem with passion. In Syndney 2000, the same thing with our Volleyball team.

The fans are also too fanatical about the club teams! Why do the fans care if a player is playing or has played for the other rival? I don't give a damn if Milosevic played for Partizan, I will never boo him when he is playing for Yugoslavia. You don't see Italian Juve fans booing Baresi or Maldini when they are playing for the National Team.

Serb I thnk you bring up some very good points. The booing and whistling that goes on while our anthem is being played I can more or less understand. It is a communist anthem which refers to us as "Jugoslavs", however now there is no such people. If you are from Yugoslavia you are either a Serb or Montenegran. This sort of brings me to my next point and that is the chants " Serbia, Serbia" when our nt plays. This bothers me because there are some players that play for the nt that are not Serbs but Montenegrans. (same goes for some fans) Many will say " Oh give me a break they are Serbs" thats exactly whats wrong with out attitudes. Respect them and their decisons, if they feel they are "Montenegran" we should learn to honour and respect that. I would much rather hear chants of "Serbia and Montenegro" or something along those lines. About those few idiots booing a player due to the club he had played for in our league, I think its disgusting and had talked about that in a previous topic.

Not isnt the same. Your example is lame, because Ontarians and Manitobans for one thing speak the same langugage while Montenegran is not the same as Serbian. (although a little difference there still is one)

First of all, this anthem ... has nothing to do with our country, our religion, nor our culture. WE ARE SERBS, AND OUR ANTHEM IS BOZE PRAVDE, AND I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE FANS WHO WHISTLE, JEER, AND BOO THE CURRENT ANTHEM.
