just got this new off inter-online.com ........ supposedly moratti made an estimated $60 million offer for lazios nesta....although the offers been rejected...atleast inter has signalled its intentions to dig deep into their finances and make some big purchases for next years campaign...... n judging by the nesta move it looks like this time theyre going for players who are having no trouble getting playing time for their teams.....so this could mean that we'll be trying to swoop some big names during the summer........
n since the nesta bid confirms that inter are on the look out for top-notch defenders....might be we'll be seeing maybe n hopefully the likes of cannavaro, thuram or campbell in defence next year....though i think nesta wouldve been better then ny1 else...but hey who knows....maybe inter might increase the bid a bit more and then the stock-exchange listed lazio might have to accept the offer...afterall money first...it is a profit-oriented club.....so lets keep our fingers crossed.....might have problem getting nesta to come even if the offer is accepted....but heard that he'll be getting around $10 million a year...so that might help to sway his loyalty a bit.....so im just keeping my fingers crossed on this one........
if this doesnt fall through lets hope moratti makes atleast two or three big aquisitions this summer...after all he has shown his intention to spend...n spend big.....
so who knows next year we might find the likes of rui costa, cannavaro, thuram, campbell, riquelme, rivaldo, veron in our team.....n although im dreaming im hoping that inter atleast manages to get a couple of these names in the team for nexy season....n im sure if moratti keeps making offers like these.....he'll finally get through to the players he wants.....n hopefully this summer inters money will be held dearer by others then loyalty to their clubs.........

Yeah, heard of the massive bid, how can Lazio reject it.
We need one defender, two or three world class midfielders. why not put 60 million dollars on Rivaldo or Zidane instead.
I would do anything for 10 million a season, Nesta will come!!!!
for 60 million couldn't we get both roberto carlos back and thuram??
like we could buy two top notch defenders.... and then hopefully sign sol campbell on the bosman transfer and inter has an awesome backline next year.

I don't think Roberto Carlos wants to leave Real Madrid. He seems to be quite content.
As for Thuram, Juventus has supposedly made a quite juicey bid for him.:fed-up::fed-up::fed-up:

i dont think we'll be able to get carlos from real madrid...they see set to win the spanish league and probably the CL...n bsides i think he left inter in the first place because of problems with the management....so dont think he'll come
as for thuram ...i dont know really about the juventus thing...but ti think that he might vome to inter with we show the same kind of interest backed with the kinda money we showed for nesta.....
im just hoping 10 million year is enough money to tempt nesta away from lazio

Yes...i've heard that nesta might be leaving lazio.
Dino zoff need more money to bring in some new players..so i think it's still possible that nesta might be joining inter next season if moratti put in more effort in this bid.
well, if nesta comes , inter should try to get cannavaro as well. they are formidable and their partnership is the best...

Don't you guys understand????
Keep buying players doesn't mean Inter a better team!
We already
Vieri Ronaldo Sukur Recoba Farrante In attack
In midfield we got, Seedorf Di Biagio Farinos Dalmat Zanetti Jugovic
While in defence there is Blanc, Cordoba and Simic
And there is Pirlo, Mutu, Panucci, Keane and Ventola on loan........
These are all establish player, either full international, or young talents who shone in high level (like Mutu in Euro 2000, Farinos in CL, Pirlo in U21, Keane in EPL etc)
In my personal opinions,in term of individual quality we are probably better than Juve or Man U or Bayern or ROma, on par with Real and Lazio.
But why we keep under achieve....??? No continuoty, no team work, no team spirit.... keep changing players and manager every season, they use different players and tactics, didn't get what Moratti expected and get fry. Then hire a new one, some of the players out of favour, then out of form, then play shxt, get sack again.......
Moratti never learn his mistake.
Guys it took Ericksson 3 season to win the Serie A, Fergusson to win 6 to win the EPL.... Moratti has no patience with his team for even 6 months.
Sack Lippi was stupid. He is a manager who knew how to win. And know who to buy to win (guys remember he was the guy to sell high and buy cheap i Juve but they still manage to win scudetto 3 yrs in a role eg. sold Vialli for 7m pounds, bought Vieri 4m pounds, sold Vieri 13m pounds, bought Inzaghi for 7 m pounds and then there was Sousa-Jugovic-Davids)
Now Tardelli get hired, he is not the same calibre as Lippi but there is a sight of improvement recently and should keep him and his team.
Are you guy stupid, do you think guys like Zidane, Rivaldo, Thuram, Nesta etc will come to Inter, the ultimate underachiever when their team can play in CL and all top teams want them.
Inter should just buy a couple of decent players in defence, and if Vieri or Blanc leave get a classy player with similar style to replace them (thus no need to adapt new tactics again). ANd that's it. It is time to build up team spirit and develop young talents like Dalmat, Farinos, Pirlo, and may be Mutu or Ventola (if they are back) instead of wasting another 60 or 100 m on 'big name' players which like the past season..... since if Inter do badly, they all want to leave which will damage the team morale and then fail again and get back to the cycle......

Sorry I meant a couple of players to replace Vieir and Blanc if they leave (suggest if Vieri leave by either Viduka 15-25m/N.Amoroso 10m /Rossini 10m or Ventola)
Blanc by (Materrazi 10m-15m/Mexes (the young guy of French U-21) dunno how much he will be.
Remeber Nesta is the youth product of Lazio
Totti is the youth product of Roma
Mandieta is developed by Valencia
We got a lot of decent young players
Pirlo is hailed as next Baggio
Dalmat is alround player and can be dveloped as new Mandieta
Farinos had a very good season with Valecia and did well with Spain U-21....
We also got Mutu who got a decent performance in Euro 2000 and is a full international of Romania
We may have Emre next season who is another young talent.
Farrari is a U21 european champion....
Why don't us spend less and give faith in them and give them some chance to play next season and hope them develope in top class players?
Just as how Real develop Raul, Guti and Casillas
Roma for Totti
Lazio for Nesta
Man Utd for Beckham and Scholes?

i guess the point ure making is valid.....we need to definitely develope our young crop of players..... but u also have to remember that though giggs, beckham and scholes are out of their youth department, man utd always had the champion in Cantona. the fact that they kept on doing well and winning in their domestic league enabled them to concentrate on developing their youth. the same goes for real madrid, yeah they have some of the greatest players out of the academy but hey they never were really doen they had the perfect combnation already in their line-ups. this meant that they could give the fresh crop a chance buit at the same time they could also win stuff. inter have a two-faced problem, on the one hand they have the possibility of working with their young crop of players.....its all very good.....no doubt that they will develope into gr8 players.....but that might take time.....itll mean that it might be some 4-5 years bfore we can contend for CL as a force and th same goes for the serie A....... n i really dont think that the inter supporters would go for that.....on the other hand they can keep big buying players and as u say lose out due to lack of coordiantion and team spirit.......but still they have the chance of what if.....what if they finally find the rite combination and hit it off big-time.......so i guess its possibility of immediate success against garauntee of future success that inter is faced with.....n if ure management u want to look good as soon as possible...remember no coach wants to get sacked just bcause his team is in the learning process...... i think that inter do need to make some big buys this summer...but they should be players that both the coach and management want......i think under tardelli inter have made proper aquisitions...bsides pacheco that came along with recoba resigning with inter....inter have only gotten dalmat and ferrante....dalmat is a regular fixture in the team and ferrante is provingto be a good support to the attck......as for the summer signings i think that materazzi is needed indefnce though i have no clue how good he is.......heard we might be getting peter luccin from some french team......midfield n sweeper........then theres emre and okan as well....these guys are good players....but what i think inter is doing wrong is that when they made their buys is that they bought players that were past their primes like sukur or players not seeing enough first team.......
getting these youngsters is a good thing....but we need some players that are already a force in ther team and are getting regular playing time....and i know that itll be difficult to get these kind of players to inter especially since we're going through a slump.....but im sure if we scourge around long enough.....n offer the rite kinda money we will be able to get these players.......
so im still wishing for maybe a nesta, campbell, costa or mendieta for next season...we need these guys......they will make an immediate impact and groom the young players into future stars.......
