Sorry about the late thread, but i couldint do it due to the database error.
Galatasaray's decisive 4-0 win over Ankaraspor was not enough to bring them to the top of the Turkish Super Lig table on Saturday, as rivals Fenerbahce managed a 3-2 win at Trabzonspor to remain first place on goal difference.
Galatasaray's goals came from Sasa Ilic (11' and 76'), Hakan Sukur (14') and
Hasan Kabze (80'). At halftime (both matches kicked off at 7pm) the scorelines looked good for Cimbom fans - their team was leading 2-0, and Trabzon were ahead 1-0 thanks to a 35th minute goal from Miroslaw Szymkowiak. But in the second half of the Black Sea match, visiting Fener went ahead by three goals, and a late Fatih Tekke strike was not enough for the home side to come back. Realistically, the combined results mean Galatasaray's chances of a 16th league title are much smaller than they were yesterday. Fenerbahce host 9th-placed Erciyesspor next weekend - and the only source of hope for Cimbom fans is that the match will be played behind closed doors as a TFF punishment. Galatasaray have a harder task: they visit 3rd-placed Besiktas in their second Istanbul derby in two weeks. The Black Eagles will be going all-out for a win: they are fighting with Trabzon for a third-place finish and its accompanying UEFA Cup spot.
