After a few days of working well, the site is on a go slow again. Any reason?

Who the hell clicks on any of these ads? I've never clicked on one during my whole time here.

These ads are simple gifs, not flash, they don't affect the speed of the site importantly.
And I don't think many people are clicking them as ulster said. I clicked ads of this kind only the first day I used the internet :D.

Not only have we not added any advertisements, but also, like PAO_HELLAS said, these ads are not slowing down the site.
The main issue is a problem with the server configuration, which we have been working very hard to rectify.
Furthermore, when one "doesn't really care about the speed," then in turn, he doesn't really care about the "cash he gets from clicks." Obviously, with higher speeds and greater reliability comes increased traffic, which also brings greater revenues. What I'm saying is that a good way to increase profits is to increase speed.
Speed is one of our utmost concerns.
i have not seen a difference in the speed recently, it is working fine for me. And yeh nobody clicks on the ads. :music:

PLs do something with this thing.., too slow. right now i don't even bother looking at some interesting treads cuz of this speed loading. you should know what a nightmare was for me to get into this "post reply" page :lol:

Im using dialup internet most of the time, unless i am at university and it seems to be working fine for me, perhaps some people have some internet connection problems? :sad:

The speed is okay now...but then this is the best time of day for SFN in terms of speed.
The speed does vary...in a few hours it'll probably be painfully slow again. I can't speak for everyone, but when I complain about it being slow it is just SFN not the net in general. All other sites I look at are working normally.

YEP!! As expected....it took 10 seconds for the main page to open, 13 seconds for the WC forum....which, while not terrible, is slow...but the thread I selected took 80 seconds. Now I admit I was probably counting faster the longer I was counting...maybe from 40 seconds onwards, but that still suggests a minute for just one thread to open.

I saw it too...but I think it was a specific problem rather than something ongoing. Having said that...maybe two or thee times in the last couple of weeks.

Well today it hasn't appear, But yesterday probably I got the error about 5 times while I was online and the site was very slow.

Right now it takes about 15 to 20 seconds to load a page and i also get the same problem as calif. I get that message very frequently. I have to refresh like 5 times to get rid of that error. PLEASE FIX THESE PROBLEMS!!!!

right now i keep getting this error (which other guys been talking about) not 5, not 10 times - all the time! it's impossible to get into the forums! when i restart my comp is only somethimes help to get in. it's happening every time. I even sceared that it might be my lost post becouse i never know when i get here again, if it will not let me. Fix this thing buddy.please

Omar has gotten a new dedicated server so there might be one more database error today and it should be over. But SFN is as fast as ever right now so i think we have switched to the dedicated server.

Well here in my city there was a protest 5,000 people assisted to the protest but it was crazy not only Mexican but from everywhere there was Chinese people, White folks, African Americans and many more.
