Police Search For Suspected Anglo In Los Angeles Immigration Protest
Los Angeles police are conducting a citywide search for an Anglo youth suspected of participating in Monday's student protest favoring illegal immigration. Police describe the youth as a five foot five white paddy male approximately 14-16 years old. He was last seen being shoved into a candy apple red '55 Chevy with the word 'Lonely Boy' painted on the left rear fender. Police are following up on numerous eyewitness sightings.
Unnamed sources within the Los Angeles police department say the youth is Sean Murphy, a legal immigrant from Ireland.
Police believe Murphy may have been forced against his will to participate in the protest. School officials say Murphy has been a constant troublemaker. They cited numerous instances where he pledged allegiance to the United States, displayed a U.S. flag at his home, and spoke flawless English. Police say Anglos like Murphy are rapidly becoming an endangered species in California and they want to place him into protective custody. Chief Joe Mendez commented that California condors are believed to outnumber Anglos by almost 2:1.
Meanwhile, school districts throughout southern California report Monday's walkout saved the state more than $2M in free meals, graffiti cleanup, and childcare expense. They also said that students who participated in the walkout would have the choice of either making up the lost day or agree not to do it ever, ever again.
