Is this program as bad as it looks in the previews?I think you're missing the joke. It's the best show on TV.

Ivan Reitman is producing the movie which should be out soon.

I'm not so sure about me missing the joke....perhaps more a case of TPB missing the humour. Or trying to get too much from the same joke? Just how far can you take behaving badly?
I loved The Office (British version) so I can appreciate 'cringe-making' TV. But I can cringe to The Office because that was the creator/writer's idea. I cringe at the previews of TPB because it looks bad TV.
However, it would be unfair to judge something solely by its previews. I just can't bring myself to watch it.

Coming to a Theater Near You
Rumors have been simmering for a while that the Trailer Park Boys would make the leap to the big screen. Harty confirms them. “That’s definite,” Harty says. “We’ve got Ivan Reitman producing it.”
Yes, that’s Ivan Reitman of “Animal House,” “Stripes,” “Meatballs,” “Ghostbusters” and “Old School” fame. He grew up in Canada and is a big supporter of the Canadian film community. At a press conference to announce the film, Reitman said: “‘Trailer Park Boys’ represents a fresh voice in contemporary comedy: well-defined characters with emotional depth and hilarious writing. What might seem like effortless improvisation is actually the product of Mike Clattenburg’s focused vision and the talented creative team that supports him.”
