Galatasaray is well-known for having passionate supporters worldwide, not just in Turkey. This week Turkish newspapers reported another example: the story of a Galatasaray fan from 6,000 miles away in Japan.
Asami Inokuchi, like many Japanese and Koreans, fell in love with Turkish
football during the 2002 World Cup in which the Turks finished third. She
particularly liked Hasan Sas which led her to support the Lions and the
last four digits of her telephone number end in '1905'. Now, Inokuchi
follows the Yellow-Reds on the internet and visits Istanbul twice a year
to attend matches at Ali Sami Yen.
