Besiktas extend Tigana's contract

Besiktas have extended the contract of their French coach Jean Tigana until 2008, a club official.

"We have agreed (on the extention) and signed a deal," Besiktas manager Kivanc Oktay told Anatolia news agency.

Tigana will stay with Besiktas until the end of the 2007-2008 season, Oktay said.

Besiktas are currently fourth in the Turkish league, trailing a huge 17 points behind top two and arch-rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

yes he is a good coach, at first he started off bad but now that he knows the team and its players he has done pretty well for the first season. i wonder if he will do betta next season.

it doesint matter if they get star players or not, if they can utilise there available players right from the start of the season they will do well, bjk is a strong team dont doubt them!
