Firstly, let me start off by saying that I understand that you do pay for this website, and I appreciate it that you allow us to post "freely". However, due to certain "events" that have begun to happen lately I (and probably alot of other ppl in here) would like to know what is going on.

1) What are you trying to accomplish with all these changes?

2) Why did you take away signitures, when there is a option to block sigs in the User CP?

3) Why, (although many users of SFN have voiced this as well) have you not gotten rid of MOD's who constantly do a bad job, and replace them with ones whom are respected throughout SFN?

but most importantly...

WHY DOES IT SEEM THAT YOU DO NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THESE FORUMS AT ALL?!

you have just made this forum smaller and smaller. I remember when I first joined, and it was a nice big forum, sigs, no idiots posting racist BS. Then you added a casino system which made this website all it could be. Good Moderating, with superb super Mod's, and your absence was hardly noticable, as the forum was not fallin apart. But then it went downhill. MOD's became incompetant, and baised; the threads were jam packed in to little folders to save "space" and now signitures were taken away.

I would like a awnser ASAP.

Sorry, but you don’t seem aware of other forums out there. SFN actually looks much better now than before. It still needs changes but not the changes you want.

1) We make this forum look like a soccer forum for smart adult people
2) We leave it as it is and let idiots post and those who have the urge to show us their photoshop skills. I say we get rid of sig images, raise the avatar size, and get some new colors and a better template. And other changes such as show the moderator of the forum on the main page etc.

One of the reasons for the sig change was due to load times for pages... With a new layout, if it was image-based, it would cause the same problems sigs did.

Tokeyo you are right in certain points, but saying that omar is never around would be a joke! he is on everyday altough u might not see it. i agree with the fact that the sig regualtions had to come in place with loading times and racist remarks. i beleive these things will make our forum better and i beleive that it is a great forum. i am only unhappy with one moderator and that is bosanacc. i wish i could be moderator of the turkish section because nothing ever gets done there as the turkish memebers would know we are the ones pulling it togehther. i think people shud stop complaining and conform. oh well thats just what i think in the end.

Who said he will take away avatars? I actually proposed to increase the avatar size to 100 x 100. Like most forums. Sigs IMO should be limited to just writing but if the majority of the forum wants pictures, I guess that we should decide a SMALL size image as standard.

We have seen no changes buddy. I wish we had a forum that looked close to others I know. We would be so much more professional. And it seems Omar has some ideas, according to what he told me at least.

The signatures were sized down because it is ridiculous to try to navigate through intelligent discussion with images 800 pixels wide by 400 pixels high. This is not only an aesthetic issue but also an issue regarding load times. In terms of the subforum listings, the same rationale applies.

2) Why did you take away signitures, when there is a option to block sigs in the User CP?

We did not take away signatures. We have simply imposed limits because society cannot properly operate in their absence.

3) Why, (although many users of SFN have voiced this as well) have you not gotten rid of MOD's who constantly do a bad job, and replace them with ones whom are respected throughout SFN?

We have been adding quality moderators, and it is must easier to add a moderator than drop one.

What do you think I should be doing to contribute to these forums? You have offered criticism but no suggestion. Thank you for your input in any case. Furthermore, it is not directly apparent to you when we work on optimizing the pages for search engines. Nor is it exactly apparent when we work on partnerships with other soccer sites. And nor is it apparent when we work with clients to generate revenue that will get pumped into the website. Overall there is a lot more going on than meets the eye.

When I first signed up I was surprised at a couple of mods making rude and insulting comments in response to some posts. I have noticed they have since been much more...shall we say diplomatic. It seems to me that now they only give back what they get and then nowhere near as often. It's a problem when you have two hats to wear.
Idiots will be attracted anywhere. They can be discouraged by ignoring them. That's difficult, I know, as we can all enjoy throwing an occasional barb in their direction. But we do have an 'ignore' option or we can simply scroll down when we see their name. But some idiotic posts can be funny. Perhaps they'll be tiresome after a while, and that's when we can use 'ignore'.
As for sigs, why do people want to say the same thing over and over? Nobody posts the same statement every time, so why the sig every time? Having said that, they don't bother me much. I have images turned off and anything else is easy to separate from the post. But things have become so s-l-o-w lately I wonder if their very existence contributes to the delays in page loading. Can't members be satisfied to have it on their profile page only?

Maybe the uses vote for nominees but Omar gets the final say. There is stuff that Omar knows that not all posters know.

We should just have a vote in all the sections and after that is done then the mods should vote for 3 mods to become s-mods and if Omar agrees that person should become mod or s-mod.
