It does sound familiar, though whether it's in the rules in the registering process here or another site, I'm not sure. Having said that, there have been plenty of instances of spamming links being removed. And while the links are hardly non-controversial, I think it's okay. There's nothing wrong with controversy. We can either click or not click. We have that choice and then we have the choice to read or not, having clicked.
Unlike other sigs where an offensive statement is always there (in your face, as it were) unless we turn off the sigs in our options; missing all just to avoid the few.

Yes, I'm a mod (the sig police) :) and those are the rules whether individuals like them or not and will be upheld. The reasons for these rules were debated strongly by the mods to make SFN a better place to post. There is a method to the madness and some individuals will be affected for which we're sorry but it's meant to be for the best for all.

I ask people nicely and hope they will respond in kind. If not... well.

Actually ulster21, I just visited those sites. I gave you the benefit of the doubt before and never looked but those sites have no place in a forum dedicated towards soccer. I'm not going to debate this.

That was the exact same thing i thought when i got a pm from him. Weird how he pops out of nowwhere and tells us to change our sigs.. I have never seen him before. for some reason i dont trust him. If it was one of the s-mods or omar who pmed i would take it seriously. But i dont take him seriously. I have to here it from the people who r higher up in the rankings. He doesnt even have mod under his name so i am curious if he really is. I dont know if my sig is too big but if it is one of the s-mods or omar will tell me.

A compromise was reached 400x75 and it applies to everybody, mods and all.

Really? So you have never bothered to look on your Internet Service Provider's website, scrolled around, and saw the Contact Us link?

Once inside of there, you can supply them with a user's IP address (Which we have), and they will deal with it accordingly, which could (and most of the time does) result in the termination of your internet service.

do u like haveing ur sig this small becks personally it is very annoying. I would understand if ur sig was half the page but most of ours isnt. i think 400 x 75 is very small. I think 400 x 400 or 500 x 500 is about right. here is my sig that i had. Everybody tell me if my sig is really that big that it annoys u. why should we repsect it? Weve had 6 months of almost total freedom, with crappy MOD's, and then all of a sudden u try and rule with an iron fist? It isn't fair Becks and u know it. I have also PMed Omar, but like thats gonna do ne good as he is hardly ever on at all, and hes a Admin!

SFN is gonna lose all it's members if this keeps goin on. I joined this wesbite because we could have signitures without a limit. Now this wesbite is even worse than some of the other ones I'm on...at least those websites the MOD's and Admin are committed, plus any racist posts and racist posters are dealt with immediatly...:sad:
