If that's true !!!! It's indeed hilarious rainbow sheep :Pound: :Pound: Couldn't that be interpreted as homosexual sheep? That's even more politically incorrect now isn't it?

Stupidity isn't easy to explain. It's just a few silly or misguided people.

"In 2000 Birmingham City Council tried to ban the rhyme, after claiming that it was racist and portrayed negative stereotypes"

How the hell can baa baa black sheep be considered racist, it's about a damn sheep!

I simply don't understand about the snow white one, is it supposedly being discriminatory against short people or something?

This political correctness rubbish started about 25years ago when I was at school and has now re-emerged for some strange reason.

I think it comes from ‘Social Studies’ graduates who have too much time and drink too much coffee and feel they must justify there existence.

The whole idea was to prevent racism and may have started as a well intentioned policy but as always happened it got ‘hijacked’ and the word ‘black’ became taboo. Educationists decided that many books were removed from school libraries.

It is not wrong to impress on children that hatred of a race or colour is wrong. The problem is that some people are trying to re-write history and alter proven science in the name of political correctness.

If you look at British society we practice integration for the most part. There maybe problems in certain sectors and this need to be address. Inventing problems is not the answer.

If people want to promote understanding maybe encourage children to read about history from various sources understand the good and bad points of the ‘British Imperialism’. Make Islamic children aware of Christianity and Christian aware of Islam, they both have roots in Judaism.

Teach children about the holocaust, visiting Dachau was a moving experience for me.

If you want to promote understanding use common sense, children are also still influenced by home life, if we all take the time to understand each other we may have a chance to live in an understanding society. This must surely be the correct way forward.

Just a note to Ulster21 – as discussed before I call myself ‘gringo’ as I consider it funny and have no objection to other members within my family and others in South America calling me as such. I find it amusing and it may also be part of the understanding I preach.
