Believe it or not, here in Iowa ALOT of kids are involved in competitive soccer. They have great programs, but sucky coaches, very very good fields, and the only problem is that these kids are forced to play by their parents and they don't like the sport once they get into the 6th grade, where new opportunities open for them and where they get active in american football, swimining, basketball, wrestling and track, but soccer is not offered in these middle schools. I think if they offered soccer in the middle school than more kids would continue to play the game and hopefully form a passion for it.
