haha :D i doubt it.
with our recent best european team in europe for january we're for sure ready for u guys
lots of recent problems happening with the gunners. looks like its just gonna make ur job a whole lot harder and ours a whole lot easier.
what u guys think of the match? i think its in the bag for us. great form and great performances by our team altho the missing big boys raul and ronaldo
although ronaldo will play in the next madrid game.. :D
anyway. i'd be a bit worried if i were a gunner.. i know all my arsenal supporter friends are..

Well, our defense should be a bit healthier, which gives us a bit of a chance. But its definitely going to be tough. I hope Madrid and supporters aren't assuming Arsenal will be a walk becuase of their recent struggles. They might be, I admit. But the two issues the Gunners have been having are injuries and inconsistency due a very young squad. If they can get a few injured players back and find a bit of form, they can be dangerous again. Probably not dangerous enough to really make a deep run, but you never know. You have to remember that domestic league form does not always carry over to Europe in the same way - look at Liverpool last year. Not saying its likely that another club that is struggling in the EPL is likely to do the exact same thing, one year later, but at least its possible.

lots of good points, i agree that it could go either way, its gonna be one hell of a dangerously amazing game
but being honest, looking at recent form and results i think madrid are a small but decisive step ahead.
anyway, who knows what can happen in the next week or so.

I foresee a caning for the Arse. Real are getting into some form at just the right time and Arse are just way too unpredictable. Or should I say unstable. They could win one week, but shamelessly go down the next. And when they lose, it's usually just completely unnecessary.
The defence is also not illuminating a lot of self-confidence right now, while up front I think only Henry'll be capable of doing any damage against a team like Madrid.

Arsenal's form in CL this seaosn has been amazing. I dont think anybody will cane them. This matchup is surely not a foregone conclusion like you say. I expect Arsenal to win at Highbury. I think it'll probably come down to away goals.

Arsenal were without doubt in a very weak group in terms of quality. Sparta and Thun were only slightly more than useful sparring partners while you've been living in a cave these past few years if you think Ajax is still the Ajax that it once was.
Real are hitting form at just the right time, concerning this clash anyway, while Arsenal look out of sorts and struggling to find (consistent)form. An under-strength Arsenal side'll get whipped by a nippy Real team with a Zidane in the form of his live. And I'm not ruling out such a scenario.
I expect Real to win at the Bernebau. At least that makes us even, in that respect.

the only way that real wouldnt win this is if the coach screws the team again. its that simple

Arsenal have had somewhat consistent form at Highbury this season. I think both teams will win their home games, but Real is likely to win by more (not much more), allowing them to advance. It will be something like 5-4 agg. to Real. Anyways, Let's Go Arsenal!!!

I am looking foward to this tie, probley the 2nd best behinde the Chelsea v Barca on. I assume this will be a very attacking type match with both clubs going to the goals. I think in the end it will be close but I have the feeling the Gooners much suprise a few and pull through 4-4 on away goals

Don't underestimate Arsenal. Still I hope RM will go through

Madrid 2 go thru
Arsenal have some real defensive problems with inexperienced centrebacks if Campbell is away. Cygan mite as well be a reserve. Madrid are no fortress at the back, but the attacking capabilities are surely world-class on their day.
