I am looking for a pre 40's player, and a post 40's player as well. Also, can someone provide the bio for Ratomir Dujkovic. I believe he's taking the country of Ghana to Germany. Was he a player? If so, what position and team did he play for.
Much thanks!

post 1940's reputation has it that Dragan Dzajic was the best Serbian player... excellent left winger, could create and score, won a number of titles with Red Star, part of the Yugoslavia team that made it to the European Cup final in 1968 etc... but there are a number of other players that have to be considered contenders - Dragoslav Sekularac, Velibor Vasovic, Rajko Mitic, Vladimir Petrovic etc...
but the best generation of players was that of the late 80's and early 90's and one of those was probably the best ever player (Savicevic, Stojkovic, Mijatovic, Jugovic)

Alchemist, thanks for the info. I am somewhat surprised that my question didn't elicit more responses.

Ratomir Dujkovic was a goalkeeper for Crvena Zvezda back in the late 50s early 60s i think but im not sure. And the best player of all time in Yugoslavia would have to be Dzajic

Well, of recent players,
I think Mihajlovic comes pretty close to it, He's a legend to me
Also Stojkovic and Jugovic come close
I don't know about all time players

I've heard Dragan Dzajic
It's also been said that Milutinovic was a great player
He's now coach of a arab team, Al Saddad or something

To me, Savicevic was simply awesome. But Dzajic is in there too, he could do incredible things on the pitch.

i think of all the players to come out of the former Yugoslavia in the late 80's and early 90's (Boban, Stojkovic, Prosinecki, Mijatovic etc.), Savicevic was the best... he was very frustrating with injuries and his attitude, but when he was in the groove, he could destroy oppositions (eg. his Man of the Match performance against Barcelona in the '94 European Champions Cup final)
