Has anyone else read this and become obsessed with it like me? I think the concept and realism behind such a wonderful piece of fiction makes for compulsive reading. I have also read a little book called 'The Key to the Da Vinci Code' which also adds little snappets of fascinating information left out in the novel that also add evidence to support the possibility that descendents of Jesus Christ roam the earth.

...allright...Jusus is the most contraversial and the most recognised-famous individual in the history of the Human civilisation...i often ask my self how much these Parasites the priests, the religious leaders the Catholics and the Ortadox have left out/added to his philosophic platform or teaching from the Bible...Jesus was a man for the people and of the people not for and from the Church...they were the ones that Crucified......perhaps it was too radical what he was preaching and i guess people werent ready for that...and becouse the Religious leaders were too arrogant like they are now...on the other hand Den Brown exploated the most interesting sphere possible...who can stay indifferent to a shocking statement that Jesus was in a relaitionship with Maria Magdalena and that he had children......and + Leonardo's Secret Dinner???...where it's obvious that this deciple that's close to Jesus looks more like a woman than a man...that the holy grail was actually Magdalena not some piece of wood that sparks out imagination and fantasy...:smoking:...it was clever indeed from Brown...;)...but it's too contraversial to believe in his "axioma"im sure that things werent egsacly as the religion sas about Jesus...he was a man and no popular man can resist to a beautifull woman like Magdalena...even some mora rationally refined priests admit that there's something unusual and peculiar...:smoking:...and there was this priest who explained on National geographic channel that when he "resurected" from his toomb Magdalena tryed to touch him but he refuesd her...this action was a sign as extremely intimate and personal in that era and in that society...a woman should newer touch a man if they're not married and they had a law where they ordered to every man to get married young 18 or 19 year's old...and those who werent married were humiliated...the same reffered for the babes too...;)....so from this aspect and the fact that there's a huge enigmatic chapter in Jesus life perhaps 10 or more years where no one knows what he was doing and what was going on in his life in that particular time we can arrive to the epilogue that there was something...but whether Da Vinci made a code for the future generations to detect becouse he was afright from those butchers the incvisition is extremely contraversial...

I think the most vital piece of information anyone can find to help them conclude that Jesus did have ancestors will eventually be found in the little french village of Rennes-Le-Chataeu. It used to be a grand city and capital of the region but was destroyed by some kind in the 12th century. However, for some reason Brown left this vital piece of info out of his story.
500 years later the area sprang back into life and a small village began to emerge from the ruins. In the late 1800s some priest called Sauniere(also the name of one of the main characters in the book) was appointed Priest of the village. The church that he was appointed to was completly worn down and not very good. Sauniere was determined to improve its facilities though.
He was a poor man and yet somehow he suddenly became very very rich. He used vast amounts of money to pay for refurbishments of the church and many expensive windows etc. The question is where did the money come from. He only ever told two people so it was obviously a big secret and one that would cause considerable shock.
In 1917 he died. There are a few theories about how he found the money.
The first is that he found the buried treasure of a group called the Knights Templar. It is where the group, the same group that are said to have been the protectors and finders of the Holy Grail. If we assume that the Holy Grail is the ancestory line of Jesus Christ then perhaps it wasn't treasure found in the hills...but in fact information supporting the fact that Jesus did have children with MM.
If he had found information then perhaps his money came from the Vatican. This sounds very plausible to me. I mean they wouldn't want that sort of information coming out and probably paid him off to keep quiet. If Jesus(who was spotted three days after his death) had fled to France, it is a possibility.
It could also be true that he actually found evidence of Jesus being buried in the very hills of the town. The town makes up one of a very unlikely but extremely accurate pentacle of natural peaks with churches and castles located on the tops of each. The pentacle as I guess you would know those that have read the book is a pre-chirstian symbol of strength and birth. Maybe Jesus died and was buried at the heart of this pentacle.....this would represent a fusion of pagan ideas and christian ideas........one that the vatican again would not want released. Also, why did the Knights Templar, those who duty it was to protect the Holy Grail make their last stance here? Just more evidence I think....
Finally, back into current times adn there is still evidence that the town holds something important at its core. An army Colonel has been appointed as Mayor of the town...he was a respected member of the army......also army ceremonies now take place in this little village that doesn't have enough car parking spaces for such events and members of the army now train there....maybe there is something there that the French Government wants them to keep an eye on? Furthermore....the French Govt has banned any form of digging in the area.
Basically what I am trying to say is that if Jesus is burried here or there is evidence that he survived the crucifixion then there is every possibility that he could have had kids...in fact I think he would have done..as eLcino said it was considered a disgrace not to have them in those days.....and if he had kids then his ancestors could still be among us now.
Pretty interesting evidence if you ask me.

It's an old fantasy that has existed for thousands of years. You'll find tales of such even perpetrating the old Templar Knights and the Crusaders. Went underground for a while and existed only in some "old men" clubs where they pretend to have mysteries of the universe and take oaths and shit like that.
Anyhow the thing with the descendants on Earth is quite likely something we'll hear more about in coming times. It's probably going to make more news headlines as globalism tries to centralize more power. Won't surprise me if a royal lineage comes forward and claims to be such as more and more people get overtaken by fantasy.

It is an intriguing story full of excitement. But the author Dan Brown is anti-christian so I can not really take it that seriously.

Well it's nothing new. Myth that this have been perpetrated for as long as Christ has been known to mankind. In the dark ages the Knights Templar were profoundly into the occult and this sort of arcane knowledge. Part of their belief system was that they were doing this for the future and the possible "end-of-the-world" when this would become known. No suprise that Hollywood and the globalists are trying to make it known now. It's a joke really. AFAIK.

Maybe it is all myth. I am not saying that the Knights Templar were by any means as influential as we are led to believe. However I am interested in whether Jesus Christ had any children. I think it could have been a possibility.
I assume you are religious soccerates?

Born Catholic, believe in God.
The Knights Templar actually were very influential in their day but they went underground after their schism with the Pope and the Church - won't go into detail. Basically their philosophy was akin to the old school mystery religions that predated Christianity back to the days of Moses and before...the babylonian religions - paganism, new age, etc. All the same bundle but in different packages. There are still groups and social circles that follow the tenants today in influential positions. The Da Vinci code is popularisation of these stories. One way or another it is correct or wrong. It depends on which philosophy you govern yourself by. I don't believe in it personally. But we humans have a penchant for mystery and the unknown, arcane or Occult (which means unknown) so stories like this have a natural appeal. Just take everything with a grain of salt. If Jesus had children then everything we have been taught through Christianity is wrong right? That's the underlying message in stories like this. The rest is "free will" to chose what you want to believe ;)
Cheers!

...dont call Philosphy this mystical nonsense that Templars made up...that they hold the Holy Grail...basically Jesus had nothing to do with the Religion the way we know it today...he intened to cleanse the Human Spirit from all "tumors"that the priest of all Eras inserted in to people's minds...as i said he was the Man of the People not a man of teh Church...he practicaly torn the temple apart when he saw what the priests created from the "Spiritual Soul"that supposed to be a Temple where pure and spiritually enlightened individuals should dwell...the situation isnt differenbt even today...you have a milions of Pedofile catholic priests,an imperialisticly ambitious perverts from the Orthadox side...real Anarchy...there was this Cardinal in U.S who mollested young buys in the church who sanged songs while the Rituals went on...the Catholic church will have to pay milions in law sues and what did JOHN PAUL the Pope did????he took him in VATICAN.........when SHENEAD OCONNOR reaped that pictures from the pope publicaly and when she accused him of conciously supporting pedophilia by not doing anything to ban those pervert cardinals from the church knew what she was talking eh????but these blind and spiritual nut cases who call them selvs believers were convinced that everythings fine witgh their"spiritual home"the church...ANTHONY DE MELLO one of my favorites said 50 religious fanatics can make more damage than a Hidrogen Bomb......the priests exploated Jesus and now they are using his name to cover their ridiculous acts...im sick of that...in the Ortadox church the priests take 100euros for a wedding...what's the logic bihind that???if they want to spread the word of Jesus why are they taking money???you cant compensate spiritual with the Materialistic...it's like when the sophists took money for teaching ingorants words of wisdom which is logical...they were walking enciclopedias...and what did these imbecils teach???what did Religion for the human civilisation, beside the fact that people are slaughtering each other becouse they belong to another religious group???im sick of those parasites...Jesus didnt wanted to create a Dimension like it is now...he said love you're enemy dont hurt anyone...be harmless as a Dove but Wise as a Snake...and those Crusades said"it's not a murder if you kill an unbeliever it's a way to heaven"...the same propaganda that now the muslims use to indoctrinate young men in roder to acheave their morbid plans...a suicide......is that a way to reach the Heaves???you see how pathetic religion is???it's not about enlightening the human spirit...it's about Power,Control,Manipulation...the Church had it's Era and it wasnt called the Dark Ages for nothing...
Den Brown used the religious formula that the religious leaders used for centuries he combined it with Mystics and earned a Billion....cool eh???now let's wait for the Movie...it'll be a Hit like havent seen for years...:smoking:...

I appreciate and value religious people a great deal as many members of my close family are extremely religious. However I cannot accept that Jesus was the son of God. He was a great man who had special powers to achieve things that we unthought of at the time. However, he may have just been an extremely intelligent individual capable of things that if done today we would just say 'con-artist.' I think eLcino is right though. The church did exploit him. I personally think it is wrong that christianity is one of the only religions that worship a being that is not God almost as much as God himself. Jesus is worshiped by many and all christianity festivals are to do with him. However, shouldn't we be celebrating God instead?
I have my doubts about God too................he cannot actually be omnipotent as people believe simply because of the laws of science......but I will leave that for another time.

Furthermore eLcino is right. Religion is pathetic. It is the cause of all evils. It is the only thing that can make good people do bad things and make bad people convince themselves that they are good:rolleyes: .

-for further study on the subject:
Holy Blood, Holy Grail:
is a controversial bestselling book by authors Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln, which was published in 1982 in London. The book followed on from a BBC TV documentary, and was followed by a sequel, The Messianic Legacy, in 1987.
In brief summary, the authors argue in favor of a conspiratorial view of western history: Jesus may have survived the crucifixion and travelled with his wife Mary Magdalene and their child or children to what is now southern France. There they established what became the Merovingian dynasty, which is championed today by a secret society called the Priory of Sion.
Holy Blood details the authors' own quest for the Holy Grail by investigating the alleged mysteries of the village of Rennes-le-Château dating from the 1950s in southern France and constructing a conspiratorial view of the history of the Western world.
After a decade of research and speculation, Baigent, Leigh, and Lincoln came to the following conclusions:
1- There is a secret society known as Priory of Sion that has a long and illustrious history dating back to the First Crusade starting with the creation of the Knights Templar as its military and financial front. The PS is led by a Grand Master or Nautonnier.
2- It is devoted to returning the Merovingian dynasty, that ruled the Frankish kingdom from A.D. 447 to 751, to the thrones of Europe and Jerusalem.
3- The order protects these royal claimants because they may be the literal descendants of Jesus and his wife Mary Magdalene or, at the very least, of king David and high priest Aaron.
4- The Roman Catholic Church tried to kill off all remnants of this dynasty and their guardians, the Cathars and the Templars, during the Inquisition, in order to maintain power through the apostolic succession of Peter instead of the hereditary succession of Mary Magdalene.
It is generally presumed the authors knew these claims to be at best unprovable, or false. In fact, Richard Leigh has stated on television that they only set out to offer a plausible hypothesis, but "never believed it to be true."
