Sorry dude, but that will never happen.
People like Robert Huth, Hitzelsperger, Odonkor, Volz, Auer, Thurk, Ottl, Maier or Jones are no material for the German national team (at least not in their current form, though I admit that some of these players might join the German NT one day).

My team (judging from the current form of the players):

--------------Kahn-------------
Friedrich-Mertesacker-Metzelder-Lahm
--------------Frings-------------
Borowski-----------------Schweinsteiger
--------------Ballack-----------------
----Klose--------------Podolski--------

substitutes:
goal: Lehmann, Hildebrandt
Defense: Sinkiewicz/Wörns, Jansen, Owomoyela
Midfield: Kehl, Deisler, Trochowski, Schneider
strikers: Kuranyi, Kießling, Neuville

Metzelder needs to get in form first. he's only just back and needs to convince more. though we know that he's got the potential.

schweinsteiger does a lot of bench warming at bayern, so i can't imagine what makes people put him in the starting 11. and that he's a big talent is also just a myth. he ain't that good.

whatever happened to hinkel btw?

I agree on what you said about Metzelder, but I'm confident he will find his old form.

Schweinsteiger benchwarming at Bayern? Are you sure we are talking about the same player?

games in Bundesliga: he played in 14 out of 17 games
games in CL: he played in 6 out of 6 games

Besides´, he's a great player which assists lot of goals and scores some as well himself (against Chelsea, Werder, Rssia etc.)
