Dos Santos undergoing medical in Munich

MUNICH, Germany (AP) - Paraguay midfielder Julio dos Santos had a medical and was negotiating a deal with Bayern Munich, Munich newspapers reported Tuesday.
Bayern manager Uli Hoeness had said reports of the Cerro Porteno player as having accepted a contract as "fairy tales," adding that no deal could be signed before January.
But Munich newspapers said Dos Santos arrived in the Bavarian capital on Monday, accompanied by his agent Alfredo Mendoza and Porteno president Luis Pettengill.
Dos Santos may replace Michael Ballack, who may leave Bayern at the end of the season when his contract expires.
