The current situation:
Fenerbahce is clear at the top of the Turkish Super-League with six point difference to the second placed team. Fenerbahce has 38 points and Trabzonspor can be found holding the 9th place with 19 points.
Fenerbahce has 12 straight wins out of the 14 played games only drawing the first two. They also won two away derbies against Besiktas and Galatasaray during that time.
Trabzonspor had a good start in TSL and after first 5 games they had only lost 4 points. But after that, they in a way drew a dropping-rising performance up untill now and with the last matchday win they may have refound their form and returned to winning ways. Also during those mixed performances they sacked their old coach and transferred a new head coach, Bosnian Halilhodzic.

It's no surprise that there's a big football rivalry between the Istanbul giants and the Black Sea club from Trabzon as Trabzonspor is the only team outside Istanbul ever to win the Turkish league title. Trabzonspor ruled Turkish football for almost a decade, winning 6 league titles, while Fenerbahçe won 2 and Besiktas 1. In those days Fenerbahce was the only team who could really challenge Trabzonspor for the championship. A rivalry developed.

it was a even sided match altough i thought trabzonspor could have acutally won this one...they played a little bit better in terms of possesion and plays on and off the ball but at times fenerbache stole the limelight with its impressive foot controlling and passing strategies...i think nobre had a great game while tuncay was in good form also....at time trabzon seemed a little too slow to counter attack and as soons as the had 2 or 3 men inside feners box they wasted there chances and played the ball backwards which i think was a bit of a shame....good result in terms of GS...:lol:

As I predicted,Trabzonspor did surprise the League Leader Fenerbahce, in their home turf. Actually they should won that match. Both of the teams Goal Keeper's made huge mistakes.....

Fenerbahce was going for 13nth consecutive win to brake Besiktas League record ,but that didn't happened.They almost lost the match too. Fenerbahce is the only team in the Turkcell Super League has not bee beaten yet
