Hey what's up, i'm an iranian living in the US and a huge soccer fan. I remember what happened in 1997, when I didn't even bother watching the second leg thinking you guys were gonna demolish Iran 2 or 3 to 0, if not worse. When I found out we qualified, it was shocking to say the least.

But now's a different time, and since I follow a lot of European league action, I see how a lot of Aussies have made it, most noteable Harry Kewell who was part of the marvelous Liverpool team that won the European Cup last year. It's obvious you guys deserve to be in the WC, and Fifa is a bunch of a$$holes for not giving Oceania an automatic berth.

I also saw how I think it was Viduka was crying after you guys were disqualified in 2002(heartbreaking), and read a lot about what happened at the airport and what not. But all in all, I really, really hope you guys get in this time. I don't like the arrogance and condescending attitude of the uruguayans, as seen by the players and their forum members here and actually it kinda reminds me of terry venables attitude towards Iran back in the day. But this time you're the underdogs, and the team who I think want it, perhaps NEED it more.

So good luck to Australia, I hope you guys get in, and do so with strength. I really hope Kewell and especially Viduka score 1 each, and most of all I hope you make Recoba EAT HIS WORDS! You've got a great coach, a management that's awesome(as can be seen by the chartered plane they got for the players), and most of all, you've got heart like never before. GO AUSSIES!!! :rockon:

I heard that Club Uruguay (the immigrants' club in Australia) has confirmed at least 5,000 Uruguayan fans at the stadium. Cheer up, you won't be alone.
