When you see someone who knows shit about their NT or club they claim to love it?

"I know ppl who say i support scg" even tho they didnt see one qualifiers match. I know die hard fans like my self did whatever they could to watch the games, like go to bars, friends houses , pay heavily to see it on the net, Search for hours for a link to see the game. But these ppl just piss me off when they dont know shit about any of the players or history. Or when they just dont care but now that scg is in the wc start giving a damn.

Anyone else know anyone like this? Bc i know a ton of ppl....

I have supported our NT for years but nowhere near as much as i do Crvena Zvezda. This will change when we have our real flag (Srpska trobojka sa orlovima i Krunom), National Anthem (Boze Pravde), and name of our country (SERBIA, no Serbia & Montenegro no Yugoslavia just SERBIA and nothing else). This is when our stadiums get packed to the brim and when every 1 runs from Delije, Grobari, United Force all in one group

yeah i dont really like the anthem Hej Sloveni, The Blue white red flag and the & sign in our name (Serbia & Montengro). But we have done pretty good sofar in soccer. But I have to admit when i watch the beggining of a game i see our players not looking to happy to hear Hej sloveni... same with our fans.. :faint2:

its a funny thing about Hej Sloveni.
It was acutally written by by a Czech to inspire unity among the Slavs.
The antheme is actually like in all Slavic countries except the Former Yugoslavia.
If you listen to the Polish antheme you will here that its almost exactly the same.

Excatly. Our country is Serbia, our flag is red-blue-white and our anthem is "Bože Pravde". In our National Football Team play Serbian players, except Simon Vukcevic and Mirko Vucinic, who have origin of Montenegro. For God`s sake, there are 10.000.000 Serbs and only 600.000 poeple live in Montenegro. It all should be called Serbia. But, our government thinks it`s better "Serbia and Montenegro". Silly  . Luckily, we are not "Yugoslavia" anymore. :)

There are no excuses, 'Montenegrins' are 100% Serbs, havent uz heard the saying, Nema Veceg Srbina od Crnogorca??? The only reason there is such thing as Montenegro is because of the peder mamu mu jebem criminlasku Milo DICkanovic who should be sent into exile.
Montenegro, Kosovo, Republika Srpska all are SERBIAN, nothing else. I would even be happier if we were without 'Montenegro' and be just Serbia, who needs them half a million idiots pretending to be something they are not.

As far as I am concerned, Montenegrins ARE Serbs, and always were. But, sadly, they are divided to indipendistic and pro-Serb blocks, mostly thank to, like you said, the criminal Milo Djukanovic. Kosovo is Holy Land for all Serbs and must be ruturned by all means. Also, we must look forward to keep our connections with Republika Srpska even more tighter. All Serbian lands are called by one name - SERBIA.

I agree with u 110%. I just can wait to see the support from all of our fans when Serbia is independent and free of baggage. That will b somethin worth seeing  imagine thousands of BBRS, Ultras, Ultra Boys, Heroes, Brigate, Grobari, Alcatraz, Juzni Front, United Force, Blue Union, Taurunum Boys, etc all filling a stadium to the brims and making an atmosphere????

I can`t imagine Belgrade Boys, United Force and Juzni Front on the same terrace. It would be a massacre. :D Kidding. Hope our hooligan firms will overcome club rivalry when our National Team is about to support. But we`ll see, let`s change name, flag and anthem first.

about the original post i know plenty of people who are like that...

my number 1 annoyance are people who come to games of the NT with Partizan or Zvezda jerseys or scarfs...i mean wtf is that?> are you trying to start beef? i wana knock those guys out because the NT is no partizan or zvezda and the fans should not be divided on those games

personally i go to games to support my team...zvezda/partizan hooligans go to fight each other that is really the main difference, they almost dont care about the SOCCEr tiself, they're there to fight each other..ridiculous

id ban them all...bring people who ware tehre for teh GAME not for the ***king "firms"

To answer the original question first -- I, like most of you, know MANY people like that. It's actually almost ridiculous; when it comes to the national team, people will "jump on the bandwagon" when they're doing well, but they'll spit all over it (the organization, coaching, players, everything) in the worst possible way when we are doing badly. Don't get me wrong: criticism can be very useful and should be accepted, but NOT to the extent that some people went. I've seen people call our NT nothing but a bunch of hopeless losers, and you can all imagine the adjectives they would add. This was happening all the way up to the middle of this year -- and then, when they saw articles talking about how close we were to qualifying for the WC, they suddenly showed up to all the bars and had to see all the games, because God forbid they miss out on anything good...

My point is, this is NOT the way to cheer for a national team. Of course you should be there when they are successful, but to show your true loyalty you have to support the squad even through the tough times. The problem with us Serbs is that we're always on the extreme end of the spectrum. When we're doing badly, we're the worst team in the world. When we're doing much better (like now), all of a sudden we're gonna make it to the semi-finals or finals of the WC, or even win the whole thing. We have to learn to be a bit more realistic in our hopes. I've been with the team continuously all of my life (I'm 21 now).

A word about the national symbols -- of course it would be great if we had the true Serbian flag and "Boze pravde" as the anthem, and if the country name was "Serbia", but I don't think it's good to dwell on this. Because of the way things are in the Balkans, the national team of Serbia and Montenegro goes beyond the name, geographic borders and symbols. It's a team that represents all Serbian people, no matter where they officially live. That's the reality. Changing the symbols and anthem would be great, but ultimately, the NT is all about representing all Serbs.

I'd personally love to see the country change its name (again) to Serbia. My family come from Crna Gora (i was born in Aus and still live here) but we call ourselves Serbs and are proud to be Serbs.. I would love to see the flag as the traditional Red, Blue, White with the proper coat of arms, and the national anthem Boze Pravde... Cant stand these Montenegrin Politicians wanting to split, we are serbs!! It shits me! :mad2:

Once again I will repeat-Red Star top firms (Ultras, Belgrade Boys, Brigate) DO NOT SUPPORT national team and they will not untill anthem and name change. Same goes for Grobari, Juzni Front and United Force (FC Rad). There are some organized groups of other clubs that support NT, but Red Star supporters (and I mean supporters-not those who come to one or two matches per season) do not support NT.

Damn right UROSMAX
I would like change of anthem and symbols, but even if they don’t(in near future) that would not be the reason for me to boycott our NT. That is ridicules. Players and coaches would like change too, but did you here from them "we will not play if you don’t change anthem". How would that sound?
NT is to love, support in good times AS WELL as in tough times. You can NOT turn your back on NT, that's a biggest sin for any Serb. If you do that you are nothing else than #*@%ing traitor.
And one more thing PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS SPORT SOCCER :yell: :yell:
