I posted a thread on the World Soccer section, which was not inflammatory, culturally, ethnically etc...
All I did in this thread was say how irritated I get with players behavior. This is quite appropriate for "General Soccer - World Soccer" I believe.
Italian Boy proceeded to disagree with my viewpoint, and banned the thread.
Is this allowed? Why can Mods ban threads just because they don't agree with the viewpoint?

I thought of putting it on the anger forum, but I am under impression that the anger forum is more for non football matters.
Its a pity. He gave no reason as to why he was closing the thread.

Rompip, the reason why I closed your thread is because you were not debating about something soccer related, yet, you were taking a stab at soccer. You never came here to discuss football but to always make polls of what sport is better. Stop playing the victim with me because it's not gonna work. Your thread belongs in the away from soccer, given that, soccer players behaviour is not related to soccer per se but more about morals and "how someone should behave". Thank you.

True... but I did not know I could. That is why I moved a thread recently instead of closing it.

I am afraid that SOCCER/FOOTBALL players behaviour on a SOCCER/FOOTBALL pitch during a SOCCER/FOOTBALL match is very much SOCCER/FOOTBALL related  .
I wasn't trying to debate anything, I just wanted to express my opinion.
yet, you were taking a stab at soccer.
I wasn't taking a stab at soccer. I made it obvious that the problem lies in PRO soccer, and it IS a problem, whether you like it or not (unless you're condoning this behaviour?). Nowhere did I mention any other sport. If we want to call soccer the beautiful game we must try and keep it beautiful, and not defend players' ugly behaviour.
You never came here to discuss football but to always make polls of what sport is better.
Where on earth do you get off saying that I came here to make polls on which sport is better??? You must be seeing things coz I have never posted a poll like that. PUUUHHH-LEEEEZZZ. That comment is not acceptable :red-card: .
Stop playing the victim with me because it's not gonna work. Your thread belongs in the away from soccer, given that, soccer players behaviour is not related to soccer per se but more about morals and "how someone should behave". Thank you.
Surely the mods can make a system where a mod requires the approval of at least 2 other mods to close a thread/ban a user. Not all the mods here seem to have the restraint / responsibility to make mature decisions.

For sure. I don't wanna step on anybody's toes for no reason.
I really believe that ItalianBoy made a mistake. I wasn't given any opportunity to question his decision of closing the thread.
What got me riled up is the false accusations and assumptions he has made.
so are things sorted out now? :D

LOL! I dunno ItalianBoy has not admitted to his mistake. I don't really care if he does or not.
I think the best way to sort it out would be for a system whereby the mods need approval from at least 2 other mods to close/move a thread or ban a user.
